He had previously been evaluated for a head injury on the first drive of the game. If Samuel's shoulder injury is serious enough to keep him out of the NFC title game, tight end George Kittle and receivers Brandon Aiyuk and Jauan Jennings will need to pick up more of the slack through the air for the Niners. Running back Christian McCaffrey should also see some more checkdown passes.

Of course, Samuel's health will be a significant topic heading into the NFC Championship, assuming the Niners can advance. But until he's back on the field, Christian McCaffrey, George Kittle, and Brandon Aiyuk will remain the top offensive contributors. At the same time, Jauan Jennings, who has three catches for 33 yards, could continue to see an expanded role.
