George Kittle Doesn't Practice On Wednesday

San Francisco 49ers tight end George Kittle (ribs) did not take part in the first practice of the week on Wednesday. Kittle was forced from the Week 4 win against the New England Patriots with a rib injury but later returned to the contest and caught a jump-ball touchdown in the end zone in the blowout victory. The team considers him day-to-day for now, but a DNP in the first practice of the week isn't a great sign. The Niners could just be giving him the day off, but either way, the 30-year-old will need to return to practice in the next two days to give himself a chance to face the division-rival Arizona Cardinals in Week 5 on Sunday. When healthy and active, the five-time Pro Bowler is a must-start TE1 in fantasy. Kittle has missed one game due to a hamstring injury but has caught 15 of 17 targets in his three games for 161 yards and two touchdowns.

George Kittle Considered Day-To-Day With Ribs Injury

San Francisco 49ers tight end George Kittle (ribs), linebacker Fred Warner (ankle) and fullback Kyle Juszczyk (shoulder) are all considered day-to-day as of Monday after their victory over the New England Patriots in Week 4 on Sunday. Kittle injured his hamstring and was unable to play in the Week 3 loss to the division-rival Los Angeles Rams before suiting up against the Pats. The 30-year-old caught all four of his targets for 45 yards, including a touchdown for his second straight game. However, he also injured his ribs in the first half and was questionable to return before rejoining the team after halftime. Kittle had a full workload on Sunday and should be able to play in Week 5 versus the division-rival Arizona Cardinals. We'll keep an eye on his practice later this week, but plan on starting Kittle in fantasy lineups against a shaky Arizona defense, especially if receiver Deebo Samuel Sr. (calf) misses another contest.

Christian McCaffrey Dealing With Bi-Lateral Achilles Tendinitis

San Francisco 49ers running back Christian McCaffrey (Achilles) has been dealing with bi-lateral Achilles tendinitis, meaning he has the tendinitis in both of his legs. McCaffrey recently traveled to Germany to meet with specialists and get treatment done on his legs. The 28-year-old could attempt to run this week to test out his injuries, but the fact is that he remains on Injured Reserve and doesn't have a clear timetable to return. If everything goes as planned and CMC doesn't have any further setbacks, he should be ready to return at some point in early November. It's been tough for fantasy managers that took McCaffrey with the first overall pick in drafts, but all they can do is remain patient and keep him stashed with hopes he return in the second half. Until then, Jordan Mason, who went over 100 yards rushing for the third time in four games in Week 4, will be a must-start RB1 in fantasy.

George Kittle Outleaps Patriots For Touchdown Sunday

San Francisco 49ers tight end George Kittle caught all four of his targets for 45 yards and a touchdown in the team's 30-13 home victory over the New England Patriots on Sunday. The All-Pro's status was in doubt for most of the week after missing Week 3 with a hamstring injury but came through for fantasy managers in this one, the highlight a 12-yard head-top touchdown with multiple defenders draped over him in the corner of the endzone. Kittle now holds the lead in fantasy half-PPR points per game among tight ends. It's worth noting that Kittle left the field briefly due to an apparent injury late in the game, but did return. Assuming he's active in Week 5 at home against the Arizona Cardinals, he'll again be a top option for fantasy managers.

Jauan Jennings Leads 49ers In Receiving Yards, Targets In Week 4

San Francisco 49ers wide receiver Jauan Jennings proved that he's become more than just an injury replacement in the team's 30-13 home victory over the New England Patriots on Sunday. In Week 3, Jennings had the game of his life, an 11-catch, 175-yard, three-touchdown performance, partially explainable by the injury absences of receiver Deebo Samuel Sr. and tight end George Kittle. However, in Week 4 Jennings kept the momentum rolling even with both players back on the field. He led the 49ers in yards and targets by posting three catches -- including a ridiculous over-the-wrong-shoulder snag for 45 yards -- on six targets for 88 yards. Jennings is unlikely to continue pacing all 49ers receivers but has at least forced his way into fantasy consideration until further notice. Jennings gets the Arizona Cardinals at home in Week 5.
