The day was highlighted by a 33-yard gain in the first quarter, where quarterback Will Levis showed great patience in the pocket before dealing a strike to Ridley. It was a modest preseason for Ridley, who played sparingly, only recording one catch in the other two preseason contests. With DeAndre Hopkins' status still in question for opening week, Ridley appears locked into the WR1 position for the Titans as they set their sights on the Chicago Bears. Consider him a strong WR3 as the top pass-catching option in Tennessee with a healthy amount of upside if Levis can bring his game to the next level.

Tennessee Titans head coach Brian Callahan said at Wednesday's practice that the deep-ball relationship with quarterback Will Levis and wide receiver Calvin Ridley has not been great so far. "We've missed a few. Hope deep-ball relationship improves as training camp goes on," Callahan noted. Ridley is still getting acquainted with his new quarterback during his first year in Tennessee, and Levis is going to want to form a rapport with his new wideout sooner rather than later in the absence of veteran DeAndre Hopkins (knee). The big-armed Levis is still something of a question mark entering Year 2, but he did lead the league with 10.4 air yards per attempt over 255 pass attempts in his rookie season in 2023. There's plenty of upside here as well for Ridley, who drew a substantial 28 deep targets with the Jacksonville Jaguars last year, but this connection is clearly a work in progress at the moment.

Even with an inexperienced QB, Ridley should have a solid fantasy floor while being consistently targeted in the Titans' new offense.

Veteran DeAndre Hopkins is still in Tennessee, but Ridley should become young quarterback Will Levis' new top wideout after Ridley put up the second 1,000-yard campaign of his career in 2023 in Jacksonville. The addition of Ridley also is a plus for Levis' QB2 fantasy value as he heads into his second year in the NFL. Ridley joins Hopkins and Treylon Burks as the wideout starters in three-wide sets for the 2024 campaign. Ridley might not have as much fantasy upside as he did in 2023 with the Jags, but this is a better landing spot than the Patriots.
