Gabe Davis Won't Practice On Wednesday

Buffalo Bills wide receiver Gabe Davis (knee) will not practice with the team on Wednesday as they begin preparations for their Divisional Round clash against the Kansas City Chiefs on Sunday. Davis suffered a PCL sprain in the Week 18 win over the Miami Dolphins and was held out of the wild-card win over the Pittsburgh Steelers on Monday. The Bills are calling the 24-year-old wideout day-to-day for now, but a DNP to open the practice week isn't exactly a good sign. Davis will need to get back on the practice field on Thursday or Friday to have a shot at facing the Chiefs. If Davis does play, he'll be a lower-cost boom/bust DFS option against a Chiefs secondary that has been very stingy against opposing receivers this year. Khalil Shakir had three catches for 31 yards and a touchdown in the win over the Steelers on Monday with Davis sidelined.

Devin Duvernay Practicing In Full, Tylan Wallace Out

Baltimore Ravens wide receiver Devin Duvernay (back) was a full practice participant on Tuesday, while fellow wideout Tylan Wallace (knee) was listed as a DNP. Duvernay hasn't played since Week 14 and is still technically on Injured Reserve, although he could be activated before Saturday's Divisional Round game against the Houston Texans if he's able to put in a full week of full practices without suffering any setbacks. The 26-year-old had just four catches for 18 yards in 13 games during the regular season before getting hurt, so he won't be on the fantasy radar if he's active against Houston. Wallace caught his only pass of the year for a gain of 11 yards in the Week 18 regular season finale, and it's a bad sign he's not practicing after a week off in the wild-card round.

Gabe Davis Considered Day-To-Day

Buffalo Bills head coach Sean McDermott considers wide receiver Gabe Davis (knee) to be day-to-day heading into this Sunday's Divisional Round contest against the Kansas City Chiefs. Davis suffered a PCL sprain in the Week 18 win over the Miami Dolphins and was forced to sit out of the wild-card victory over the Pittsburgh Steelers on Monday. The 24-year-old's practice status will be worth watching closely this week. He was a boom/bust fantasy option in 2023 lineups with 45 total catches for 746 yards and seven touchdowns on 81 targets. With Davis out against Pittsburgh, Khalil Shakir was the biggest beneficiary as the No. 2 wideout with three catches for 31 yards and a touchdown. If Davis returns this weekend, he'll be a risky DFS play with a scary low floor against a solid Chiefs defense.

Bills Rule Out Gabe Davis For Wild-Card Game

Buffalo Bills head coach Sean McDermott has ruled out wide receiver Gabe Davis (knee) and safety Taylor Rapp (calf) for Sunday's wild-card playoff game against the Pittsburgh Steelers. Davis suffered a knee injury in the Week 18 win over the Miami Dolphins and is now being forced to sit out of the first playoff game in Buffalo. It remains to be seen if the 24-year-old would be available next week if the Bills advance to the Divisional Round. In Davis' absence, it will mean more work for Stefon Diggs and Khalil Shakir, while Trent Sherfield should also see an increase in role as Buffalo's No. 3. Tight ends Dalton Kincaid and Dawson Knox (illness) could see more targets in the passing game, too, albeit in a game that is expected to have inclement weather conditions.

Gabe Davis Picks Up Another DNP

Buffalo Bills wide receiver Gabe Davis (knee) was listed as a non-participant for the second straight day at practice on Thursday. Fellow wideout Stefon Diggs said on Thursday that the team is trying to "win for (Gabe Davis) so he has something to play for when he can come back," which seems to insinuate that Davis won't be ready to play in Sunday's wild-card playoff game against the Pittsburgh Steelers. The 24-year-old suffered a PCL sprain in the Week 18 win over the Miami Dolphins and is certainly trending in the wrong direction for wild-card weekend. Fantasy managers in DFS contests will want to avoid him for now, while Khalil Shakir would become much more attractive as a low-cost sleeper if Davis is unable to gain clearance to play.
