Philadelphia 76ers guard Tyrese Maxey (concussion) has cleared concussion protocol and will return for Tuesday's meeting with the New York Knicks. After taking a blow to the head in last Sunday's victory over the Dallas Mavericks, Maxey is good to go following a four-game absence. The 23-year-old All-Star playmaker draws a stiff assignment in his return but is averaging 28.0 points, 5.9 assists, 5.1 rebounds, 2.9 threes, and 1.0 steals through his last eight showings.
Philadelphia 76ers guard Tyrese Maxey (concussion) has been ruled out for Sunday's game against the New York Knicks. The 23-year-old All-Star is still in the NBA concussion protocol and will miss his fourth consecutive game. Kyle Lowry and Cameron Payne will get increased minutes in Maxey's absence from the point guard position. In addition, Kelly Oubre Jr., Buddy Hield, and Tobias Harris are in line for an uptick in usage. The next chance for the 76ers fan-favorite guard to play will be Tuesday in a rematch against the Knicks if he gets cleared from the concussion protocol between games.
Philadelphia 76ers guard Tyrese Maxey (concussion) remains on the sidelines for the team's game against the New Orleans Pelicans on Friday, but there was a promising sign as he was seen getting shots up after shootaround was over. The up-and-coming combo guard has missed the team's last two games after experiencing concussion-like symptoms following their contest against the Dallas Mavericks on Sunday. The fact that he's getting some sort of on-court work shows that he's getting closer to a return. Fantasy managers will want to stay tuned for an official report ahead of their next game which is Sunday against the New York Knicks.
Philadelphia 76ers guard Tyrese Maxey (concussion) won't play in Friday's tilt versus the New Orleans Pelicans, but guard Kyle Lowry (rest) will be available. After taking a hit to the head in Sunday's win over the Dallas Mavericks, Maxey remains in concussion protocol and will miss a third consecutive game. The All-Star guard's next chance to suit up arrives in Sunday's contest against the New York Knicks. Lowry is off the injury report after resting Wednesday, however, and his fantasy value is closely associated to Maxey's availability. Cameron Payne gave Philly some decent run in Wednesday's spot start in the loss to the Memphis Grizzlies, scoring 16 points with four assists, two threes, and one steal in 28 minutes, but he'll presumably head back to the second unit with Lowry back against the Pels. Lowry is averaging 12.7 points, 7.3 dimes, 4.0 rebounds, and 2.7 treys over his past three starts for the Sixers.
Philadelphia 76ers guard Tyrese Maxey (concussion) has been ruled out for Wednesday's contest against the Memphis Grizzlies. With the Sixers visiting the Brooklyn Nets on Tuesday, Maxey was always going to have a tough time suiting up due to a concussion with such a quick turnaround. The All-Star guard hopes to pass concussion protocol in time for Friday's tilt against the New Orleans Pelicans. Since Kyle Lowry (rest) will catch a breather on the second night of Philly's back-to-back, Cameron Payne will get all the run he can handle at point guard as a chalky DFS value play against the injury-plagued Grizzlies, despite a woeful 212-point implied total.
