Philadelphia 76ers point guard Tyrese Maxey (hip) isn't on the injury report for Friday's matchup against Orlando. He missed Tuesday's clash against Detroit with left hip tightness. Cameron Payne started in his place and will likely drop back to the second unit on Friday, where he will have very limited fantasy value. Facing a Magic squad that can through elite defender Jalen Suggs at opposing guards is a tough challenge for Maxey, but he's performed well in the matchup. Across two prior meetings this season, Maxey has averaged 27.5 points on 50 percent shooting against Orlando with 4.5 rebounds and 3.5 assists.
Philadelphia 76ers point guards Tyrese Maxey (hip) and Kyle Lowry (knee) won't play against the Pistons on Tuesday. The latter misses a second consecutive game, while Maxey will be sidelined after putting in a massive 54-minute shift in the last game against San Antonio. Cameron Payne looks set for his second consecutive start and will get a big boost from the backcourt absentees. The 29-year-old has averaged 12.9 points, 3.1 rebounds, and 3.8 assists as a member of the first unit in 2023-24.
Philadelphia 76ers guard Tyrese Maxey (hip) is questionable for Tuesday's clash with the Pistons. With Joel Embiid (knee) and Tobias Harris (knee) sidelined for Sunday's double-overtime win over the Spurs, Maxey took advantage, finishing with a career-high 52 points. But with the Sixers a lock to at least make the Play-In, he might not be on the floor on Tuesday, especially with a 13-win opponent on tap. With that said, if Maxey sits this one out, Cameron Payne and Kyle Lowry (knee) could split time at the one, although neither player is a dependable DFS option.
Philadelphia 76ers point guard Tyrese Maxey had a career night with 52 points in Sunday's 133-126 double-overtime win against San Antonio. With Joel Embiid (knee) and Tobias Harris (knee) out of the lineup, Maxey took full charge of the offense and finished the game with a whopping 41 shot attempts. He had 19 makes with a 2-for-10 record from downtown. Across 54 minutes of playing time, Maxey also tallied five rebounds, seven assists, and two steals while committing only one turnover. The young Sixers star is now tied for most 50-point games in the league this season, with this having been his third such effort. Embiid will likely be back on Tuesday versus Detroit, but Maxey should have a very strong finish to the regular season as Philadelphia desperately tries to lock down a top-six seed in the East.
Philadelphia 76ers guard Tyrese Maxey (hip) will play on Sunday against the Spurs. He was on the injury report again because of a nagging hip issue, which has kept him off the floor over the last few weeks. However, the All-Star is back for a much-needed win over San Antonio, and his upside is higher now that Joel Embiid (knee) and Tobias Harris (knee) aren't available.
