Brooklyn Nets guard/forward Ben Simmons (back) remains out for Tuesday's contest versus the Philadelphia 76ers. After originally being listed with leg soreness for some of his prior absences, Simmons is now once again dealing with a nerve impingement in his left lower back that kept him on the shelf for nearly three months between November and January. In nine games (six starts) since Jan. 29, the 27-year-old former All-Star is producing a mere 5.9 points on 63.2% shooting from the floor, 6.0 rebounds, 5.1 assists, and 1.0 steals in 18.7 minutes per contest. Consider him questionable at best for Thursday's tilt against the Detroit Pistons. Cameron Johnson has started Brooklyn's past four games in Simmons' stead, averaging 19.9 points, 3.8 three-pointers on 46.9% shooting from downtown, and 1.5 swipes during 31.8 minutes.
Brooklyn Nets guard/forward Ben Simmons (back) has been ruled out for Monday's matchup against Memphis. He will miss a fourth consecutive contest. Simmons' absence has helped Dennis Schroder nail down a starting role, while Dennis Smith Jr. has logged at least 20 minutes off the Nets bench in the last three games Simmons has missed. We should see multiple Brooklyn players shine on Monday, as the team is considered a nine-point favorite against the depleted Grizzlies.
Brooklyn Nets forward Ben Simmons (back) remains on the injury report but was at least listed as questionable while he still suffers from nerve impingement in his lower back. Simmons has been out for the last three games after appearing in three consecutive games before that. The 27-year-old has appeared in 15 total games so far this season and he vowed to give the team everything he has whether he's hurt or fully healthy. When he plays, he has some value in deeper fantasy leagues, but his value is very limited since he hasn't been on the court. If he has to miss another game, Jalen Wilson and Dorian Finney-Smith will continue to see more minutes.
Brooklyn Nets guard/forward Ben Simmons (leg) is questionable to face the Hawks on Saturday. He's carrying a sore left leg and might be unavailable for a third consecutive contest. Dennis Schroder has had a good spell in the starting unit with Simmons unavailable. Brooklyn already faced Atlanta on Thursday, and Schroder put in a very good performance against this former team with 23 points, eight rebounds, and seven assists. Simmons' absence has also allowed Dennis Smith Jr. to hit the 20-minute mark in back-to-back games, but he hasn't hit the same heights as Schroder.
Brooklyn Nets guard/forward Ben Simmons (leg) has been downgraded to out for Thursday's contest against Atlanta. In an interesting development, Simmons went from not being on the injury report at all to questionable, and now to being listed out for a second consecutive game. Both Dennis Smith Jr. and Lonnie Walker IV had 20-plus minutes off the bench without Simmons on Tuesday against Orlando and look set to benefit again. Meanwhile, Dennis Schroder gets geared up for a third consecutive start, and he's by far the most reliable fantasy option of the three.
