Dallas Mavericks guard Luka Doncic (nose) is listed as probable heading into Monday's matchup versus the Washington Wizards. The All-Star has been banged up all year. However, his latest ailment, a broken nose, shouldn't keep him out of the lineup on Monday night. Doncic continues to make a difference for fantasy managers, and he's coming off an impressive 32-point, nine-assist, eight-rebound performance on Saturday against Shai Gilgeous-Alexander and the Thunder. But if Doncic he can't suit up, Kyrie Irving (thumb) should handle most of the work at the one, assuming he's cleared to play.
According to Dallas Mavericks head coach Jason Kidd, forward PJ Washington will play on Saturday versus the Thunder. Washington has shown flashes of promise since entering the league in 2019. He's averaged 13.0 points, 5.5 rebounds, and 1.0 blocks in 304 games with the Hornets. However, the 25-year-old hasn't had a consistent role in Charlotte over the last season or two. But Washington could carve out a routine spot in the Mavs' rotation, even if he doesn't start consistently, which is good news for his fantasy outlook in Dallas. Of course, he'll need to battle Luka Doncic and Kyrie Irving for offensive chances. Yet, those guys often battle injuries, which is a plus for Washington's fantasy managers. At the same time, the 2019 No. 12 overall pick can produce in other ways outside of the scoring column.
According to Dallas Mavericks head coach Jason Kidd, center Daniel Gafford will play on Saturday versus OKC. Gafford was with the Wizards since halfway through the 2020-21 campaign. However, he's coming off his best season in Washington, averaging 10.9 points, 8.0 rebounds, and 2.2 blocks in 45 appearances. Although the 25-year-old won't start, he could see a generous workload, with Dereck Lively II (nose) recently undergoing surgery. Gafford's presence isn't good news for Maxi Kleber, who has gotten more action during Lively's absence. But when Lively returns, Gafford's fantasy ceiling could decrease significantly.
Dallas Mavericks guard Kyrie Irving (thumb) will play on Saturday versus Oklahoma City. Irving missed several games recently because of a sprained thumb. Although he's appeared on the injury report since returning for the February 5 meeting with Philly, he's been out there. Not only that, but Irving has played at a quality level in the last three games, so fantasy managers can confidently keep the former Net in the starting lineup.
Dallas Mavericks guard Luka Doncic (nose) will play on Saturday versus OKC. The 24-year-old took an inadvertent elbow to the face a week ago, so he's been dealing with the repercussions ever since. However, it hasn't impacted his play on the court, considering he's scored at least 35 points in four of his previous five games.
