According to ESPN's Shams Charania, Dallas Mavericks guard Luka Doncic (wrist) sustained a right wrist strain and will be re-evaluated in a week. Doncic started feeling pain in his wrist in the first quarter of Tuesday's matchup with the Pelicans. He stayed in the game playing 30 minutes, but the injury might be more severe than expected. While the 25-year-old is out, Quentin Grimes, Jaden Hardy, and Spencer Dinwiddie will likely see more minutes on the court than usual.
Dallas Mavericks point guard Luka Doncic (knee) will play against New Orleans on Tuesday. He returns to the lineup after missing one game. Doncic produced a rare dud in his last outing and should be amped up to get back to his best against the Pelicans. Quentin Grimes will land back on the bench with Doncic's return. Grimes has had a couple of good outings recently, but he's been a starter on these occasions. The 24-year-old doesn't have fantasy value as a reserve.
Dallas Mavericks guard Luka Doncic (knee) is questionable for Tuesday's matchup with the New Orleans Pelicans. The 25-year-old is averaging 28.2 points, 7.8 assists, 7.8 rebounds, and 32.1% shooting from behind the arc, all down from the 2023-24 campaign. He's also been frequently mentioned on the league's official injury report nearly all season. But Doncic didn't suit up for Sunday's win over the Oklahoma City Thunder, his first absence of the season. If he misses another contest on Tuesday, Quentin Grimes and Jaden Hardy could see a bump in minutes. However, both players aren't reliable fantasy options, with the duo combining for 23 points against OKC.
Dallas Mavericks point guard Luka Doncic (knee) will miss Sunday's matchup against Oklahoma City. The Mavericks superstar has been dealing with a knee injury all week and will give it some rest on Sunday. Quentin Grimes will come into the starting unit as his replacement. Grimes is a good three-point shooter and amassed 15 points, four rebounds, five assists, and one steal in his first start of the campaign. Jaden Hardy and Spencer Dinwiddie might receive more action as well on Sunday, while Kyrie Irving gets a usage boost with Doncic's absence.
Dallas Mavericks forward P.J. Washington (knee) was upgraded to probable and is now listed as available to play for the Mavericks in their game Saturday against the San Antonio Spurs. Washington was initially listed as questionable due to a right knee sprain that forced him to miss the last five games. Mavericks coach Jason Kidd said that Washington won't play his full 36 minutes until he gets more games under his belt. Expect the 26-year-old to likely come off the bench today. Fantasy managers should take caution with inserting Washington into their lineups as Washington already was averaging just 9.4 PPG. Those needing more rebounding production should feel less hesitant as his average of 7.7 RPG can bring some decent fantasy value to the table.
