The homer was his 15th of the season, although it was just his first since a two-homer game back on June 21. The 30-year-old has hit safely in eight of his last nine games, going 10-for-36 (.278) during that time and he's put together a fairly productive season so far, posting a .244-15-44-37-4 line with a .328 wOBA and 107 wRC+.

Marte was reinstated on Thursday after serving an 80-game suspension for performance-enhancing drugs and made an immediate impact, going 3-for-5 with a double and an RBI before going 0-for-4 on Friday with a strikeout in a 1-0 loss. Even when Candelario returns from his hamstring injury, Marte is expected to be a regular in Cincy's lineup the rest of the year.
