Tennessee Titans wide receiver Treylon Burks has hauled in just 16 of his 30 targets for 221 yards and no touchdowns in 10 games this season. He has continued to disappoint throughout his sophomore season, keeping him firmly off the fantasy radar against the Jacksonville Jaguars -- even in deep leagues. The Titans are in rebuild mode, so look for the team to add target competition behind DeAndre Hopkins next season. Burks has a bleak future outlook, but since he was a former first-round pick, he'll have at least a minuscule amount of fantasy intrigue next year.
Tennessee Titans rookie quarterback Will Levis (ankle, foot) did not practice with the team on Wednesday. Levis returned in last week's loss to the Houston Texans after a one-game absence due to an ankle sprain, but he attempted just six passes in Week 17 before injuring his right foot and never returning. It's an annoying but not serious foot injury for Levis, but with the Titans already out of playoff contention, they could choose to play it safe and sit the rookie. If Levis isn't cleared to play, veteran Ryan Tannehill would make another start in what is expected to be his last game with the Titans. Whoever starts under center for Tennessee to close out the regular season will be an uninspiring QB2 choice for fantasy managers still playing for something in deep superflex leagues.
Tennessee Titans head coach Mike Vrabel said he doesn't know whether rookie quarterback Will Levis (foot) will be able to practice on Wednesday. Levis tweaked his ankle in Week 15 and didn't play in Week 16, but he returned in last Sunday's loss to the Houston Texans only to make an early exit due to a foot ailment. The 24-year-old is improving, but if he isn't ready for the Week 18 game on Sunday against the Jacksonville Jaguars, veteran Ryan Tannehill would make another start under center. If the second-rounder from Kentucky does return to practice this week and play this weekend, he'll be a low-end QB2 option for fantasy managers still playing for something in superflex leagues. Levis has shown some glimpses of excellence in his first NFL season, but mostly he's been inconsistent in nine starts, completing 58.4% of his passes for 1,808 yards, eight touchdowns and four interceptions.
Tennessee Titans wide receiver Treylon Burks continued to do very little in Sunday's 26-3 loss to the Houston Texans in Week 17. Burks finished the contest with two catches on his three targets for 11 yards in a game in which rookie quarterback Will Levis (foot) was injured early and never returned. The only good news for Burks was that he played 83 percent of the offensive snaps, which was his most since the season opener. Since returning from a concussion that kept him out from Weeks 10-12, the 23-year-old former first-rounder has just eight receptions on 12 targets for 99 yards and no touchdowns. In this lackluster offense, Burks cannot be trusted in starting fantasy lineups. In 10 games total in his second NFL season, he has 16 catches for 221 yards and no TDs on 30 targets. Burks is quickly becoming a first-round bust in Tennessee.
Pittsburgh Steelers head coach Mike Tomlin said that quarterback Mason Rudolph will make a third straight start in Week 18 against the division-rival Baltimore Ravens, while also noting that Kenny Pickett's (ankle) health isn't in question. Rudolph looked good again in the 30-23 Week 17 win on the road in Seattle over the Seahawks on Sunday, going 18-for-24 for 274 yards, no touchdowns and no interceptions. While it wasn't really all that notable from a fantasy perspective, the 28-year-old has now led the Steelers to two important wins in a row and will keep the starting gig for the regular season finale despite the fact that Pickett has recovered from ankle surgery. Pittsburgh will likely continue to lean on their ground game and defense, making Rudolph a low-end QB2 for fantasy managers in superflex leagues that will still be playing for something in Week 18.
