Houston Texans wide receiver Tank Dell (leg) is making a sound recovery from a broken fibula in his rookie season and said that he's expecting to be back for organized team activities this spring. The 24-year-old hasn't had any setbacks after having surgery 10 and a half weeks, and he also started doing pool work last month. Barring a setback, Dell should be ready to roll for the start of training camp this summer. The third-round pick amazed in his rookie season in 2023 while working with quarterback C.J. Stroud before breaking his leg, catching 47 of 75 targets for 709 yards and seven touchdowns in his first year in the NFL. Dell has as much upside of any young receiver in the game with Stroud as his QB, and he'll be expensive in fantasy drafts this fall heading into Year 2.
Houston Texans wide receiver Tank Dell (ankle) saw his incredible rookie campaign come to a screeching halt due to injury. The good news is, that Dell is expected to be ready for the beginning of OTA training. The young wideout was recently seen doing some light running, which is at least a step in the right direction. He played a key role in the Texans offense during the first half of the season. Dell hauled in 47 receptions for 709 yards and seven touchdowns in 11 games. The expectation is that Dell will be fully healthy in time for training camp later this summer.
Doctors have been pleased with Houston Texans wide receiver Tank Dell's (leg) rehab and he has started light pool work as he recovers from surgery for his broken left fibula. Dell took the NFL by storm in his first season while working with impressive rookie first-round quarterback C.J. Stroud in 2023, but his season ended in Week 13 against the Denver Broncos when he broke his leg. In 11 games, the 24-year-old caught 47 of 75 targets for 709 yards and seven touchdowns. The third-round pick will most likely sit out of offseason workouts this spring, but barring a setback, he could be ready to go for training camp this summer and the preseason. Even though Dell didn't play a full season due to injury in 2023, he showed enough in his rookie season with Stroud to give him plenty of fantasy appeal heading into his sophomore campaign.
