Kadarius Toney Downgraded To Out For Divisional Round

Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver Kadarius Toney (ankle, hip) was listed as questionable for the Divisional Round playoff game on Sunday against the Buffalo Bills on Friday's final injury report, but he was downgraded to out on Saturday. Toney was limited in practice all week but will now miss his fifth straight game. If the Chiefs advance to the AFC Championship next weekend, it remains to be seen if Toney will be available. If he is, he won't really be on the fantasy radar for DFS gamers, as the former first-rounder had just 27 catches on 38 targets for 169 yards and one touchdown in 13 games in his first full season for KC in 2023. With Toney out again this weekend against Buffalo, Justin Watson, Marquez Valdes-Scantling and Mecole Hardman Jr. will see more opportunities behind rookie Rashee Rice against a beat up Bills secondary.

Kadarius Toney, Justyn Ross Questionable For Divisional Round

Kansas City Chiefs wide receivers Kadarius Toney (ankle, hip) and Justyn Ross (hamstring) were both limited in practice all week and are questionable to play on Sunday versus the Buffalo Bills in the Divisional Round of the postseason. Regardless of whether Toney is able to play this weekend, the fact remains that he hasn't played since Week 15 and wasn't on the fantasy radar to begin with before his injuries. The 24-year-old had only 27 receptions (38 targets) for 169 yards and one touchdown through the air in his first full season with the Chiefs. Ross, meanwhile, injured his hamstring in Week 18 and didn't play in last week's wild-card win over the Miami Dolphins. He, too, should be avoided in DFS if he's active, as he had just six catches for 53 yards and no TDs during the regular season.

Kadarius Toney, Skyy Moore Limited Again Thursday

Kansas City Chiefs wide receivers Kadarius Toney (ankle, hip), Skyy Moore (knee) and Justyn Ross (calf) were all limited in practice on Thursday for the second straight day this week. Toney and Moore both last played back in Week 15, so even if both of them are active for the Divisional Round game this Sunday against the Buffalo Bills, they could both be eased back into the offense, thus making them entirely too risky to count on for DFS lineups. Neither pass-catcher was very involved during the regular season when they were healthy anyway, with Toney going for 27 catches, 169 yards and one touchdown in 13 games, while Moore had 21 catches for 244 yards and one touchdown in 14 games. Moore is still on Injured Reserve, so he'll need to be activated on Saturday if the Chiefs want him available on Sunday.

Kadarius Toney, Justyn Ross Limited In Practice

Kansas City Chiefs wide receivers Kadarius Toney (ankle, hip) and Justyn Ross (hamstring) were both listed as limited for the team's first practice of the week on Wednesday. Toney was limited in practice last week but did not play in the wild-card victory over the Miami Dolphins. The 24-year-old has not been active since Week 15, so even if he's able to return to face the Buffalo Bills on Sunday in the Divisional Round, it's likely that he won't see much time on the field as a legitimate offensive threat for the Chiefs. Ross injured his hamstring in the Week 18 regular season finale and was also inactive this past Saturday night. Even more so than Toney, Ross will be off the DFS radar if he's active against Buffalo. The 24-year-old pass-catcher only had six receptions for 53 yards during the regular season.

Browns Approaching Offseason With Deshaun Watson As Starter

The Cleveland Browns are entering the offseason with the mindset that Deshaun Watson (shoulder) is their starting quarterback, head coach Kevin Stefanski told the media. The position proved to be a revolving door for the Browns this season as they started five different players. Walker started six of the Browns' nine games, completing 61.4 percent of his passes for 1,115 yards, seven touchdowns, and four interceptions. He also added 142 rushing yards, one rushing touchdown, and two lost fumbles. Several injuries to Watson, including a season-ending shoulder issue, prompted the Browns to experiment with P.J. Walker and Dorian Thompson-Robinson, but neither of them produced great results. Veteran Joe Flacco took over in Week 13 and would start the next five games before Jeff Driskel got the nod in the regular-season finale. Flacco completed 60.3 percent of his passes for 1,616 yards, 13 touchdowns, and eight interceptions. With that said, Flacco is set to hit free agency this offseason and the Browns will return to Watson once he's healthy, presumably due to the fact that they gave up six draft picks (including three first-rounders) for him and then signed him to a five-year, $230 million deal. He ranks as a fantasy QB2 heading into the 2024 campaign.
