Boston Celtics centers Kristaps Porzingis (ankle) and Luke Kornet (hamstring) have both been downgraded to out on Monday and will not play against the New Orleans Pelicans. Originally, Porzingis was questionable while Kornet was doubtful for this contest. This will be Porzingis' second consecutive missed game while Kornet was able to clock 17 minutes in their last game. The good news for the Celtics is that Al Horford was upgraded to active, so he'll likely get the bulk of the minutes at center and will run with the starting five as well. Horford will be the number-one streaming option while Neemias Queta could make an appearance and possibly be streamed in very deep leagues.
Boston Celtics center Kristaps Porzingis (ankle), who is questionable for Monday's contest versus the New Orleans Pelicans, is getting shots up at the morning shootaround. Porzingis sprained his left ankle in Thursday's blowout win over the Miami Heat and missed Saturday's loss to the Los Angeles Clippers, but his presence at Monday's session bodes well for his chances of suiting up. Al Horford (neck) is also questionable, but if he plays on the first half of Boston's back-to-back against the Pels and KP does not, Horford is averaging 9.6 points, 7.6 rebounds, 3.5 assists, 2.1 threes, and 1.4 blocks in 11 games without Porzingis this year and would be a great streaming option in fantasy.
Boston Celtics centers Kristaps Porzingis (ankle) and Al Horford (neck) are both marked down on the injury report as questionable for their Monday night contest against the New Orleans Pelicans. Porzingis was unable to play in their last game against the Los Angeles Clippers on Saturday and he has now missed 13 games so far this year, which means he can only miss four more games for the rest of the season to qualify for the regular season awards. Horford, on the other hand, has played in more games despite being almost 10 years older. If they're both unable to suit up, the frontcourt is going to be very thin since Luke Kornet (hamstring) is doubtful. That would open up minutes for Neemias Queta and Oshae Brissett, who would be difficult to trust as streaming options.
Boston Celtics center Kristaps Porzingis (ankle) won't play in Saturday's game against the Los Angeles Clippers. The veteran tweaked his ankle in Thursday's 143-110 victory over the Miami Heat. Although the injury isn't anything serious, it will keep him off the floor for at least a game. Porzingis has averaged 19.5 points, 6.7 rebounds, and 1.8 blocks this season, so his absence is a tough blow for the Celtics. However, Al Horford should take his place in the lineup, with the 37-year-old averaging 9.2 points, 7.5 rebounds, and 1.1 blocks in 17 starts this season, making him a viable asset for fantasy managers.
Boston Celtics forward/center Kristaps Porzingis (ankle) is doubtful to play against the Clippers on Saturday night. The former All-Star sprained his left ankle in Thursday's matchup against the Heat, and it looks like he'll have to sit out his 13th game of the season. Porzingis' absence has typically given a good boost to Al Horford. The veteran has averaged 10.6 points, 8.2 rebounds, and 3.8 assists in games without Porzingis this season.
