Boston Celtics center Kristaps Porzingis (hamstring) won't play on Saturday against Phoenix. Head coach Joe Mazzulla stated the veteran is day-to-day moving ahead, meaning he might return on Monday in Portland. However, until Porzingis is back in the lineup, Al Horford should see an uptick in production, so he should be starting in all fantasy setups. At the same time, Porzingis' absence also opens the door for Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown to get more involved on the scoring end.
Boston Celtics forward/center Kristaps Porzingis (quadriceps) will return from a one-game absence on Tuesday versus Cleveland. He's been upgraded from questionable to available after Porzingis missed Sunday's demolition of Golden State with a left quadriceps contusion. Porzingis will likely reclaim his starting role from Al Horford, although the veteran should still have a big role to play on Tuesday against Cleveland's twin towers of Evan Mobley and Jarrett Allen. Whilst his overall numbers in the matchup are solid, Porzingis has shot only 12-for-29 from the field against the Cavaliers in two prior meetings this season.
Boston Celtics forward/center Kristaps Porzingis (quadriceps) is considered questionable for Tuesday's clash with Cleveland. The Latvian big man came out of the lineup with a left quadriceps contusion on Sunday versus Golden State. Al Horford made his 23rd start of the campaign In Porzingis' stead, while Xavier Tillman Sr. saw 18 minutes off the bench and Luke Kornet logged 11 minutes. The minutes for the latter two were inflated due to a one-sided game. Horford has regularly seen 30-plus minutes as a starter, averaging 9.3 points, 7.0 rebounds, and 3.5 assists in the role. He'll be leaned on heavily against Cleveland's big lineup if Porzingis isn't available.
Boston Celtics center Kristaps Porzingis (quadriceps) won't play on Sunday afternoon against the Warriors. He has missed 15 games this season already, so fantasy managers are hardly surprised by the latest update. There should be plenty of opportunities for others without the 2015 No. 4 overall pick in the lineup. Of course, Jayson Tatum, Jrue Holiday, and Jaylen Brown should get a few more scoring chances. But Al Horford, averaging 9.5 points, 7.1 rebounds, and 1.1 blocks in 22 starts during the 2023-24 campaign, is worth streaming in any fantasy format.
Boston Celtics center Kristaps Porzingis (quadriceps) is questionable for Sunday's game against the visiting Warriors. The 2015 No. 4 overall pick has played well in his first season with the C's, averaging 20.3 points, 6.9 rebounds, and 1.8 blocks. But he's also missed 15 games. With Boston owning the best record in the National Basketball Association, it's evident the team will do everything to keep their starters healthy. As a result, fantasy managers should prepare themselves in advance, with Al Horford in line to enter the starting lineup if Porzingis isn't on the floor. Horford has been productive when rolling with the first five throughout the 2023-24 campaign, so he'll make a suitable streaming option for fantasy managers.
