Phoenix Suns guard Bradley Beal (hamstring) has been ruled out ahead of Friday's game against the Houston Rockets. The hope was that Beal would be healthy and ready to go after the All-Star break. That is not the case as the superstar guard will miss his second straight game on Friday. Both Eric Gordon and Royce O'Neale should see increased roles in the rotation with Beal out. Also, Devin Booker and Kevin Durant will be asked to carry the load on offense with Beal missing at least one more game.
Phoenix Suns center Jusuf Nurkic (ankle) is considered doubtful on Friday as he deals with an ankle sprain that he picked up on Thursday in their game against the Dallas Mavericks. The big man played only 19 minutes in that contest and posted five points, five rebounds, three assists, two steals, one block, and one turnover. He's been a key piece for the Suns' paint presence and on the boards this year. Since Nurkic couldn't play the full game on Thursday, Royce O'Neale stepped in and received some extra minutes while Drew Eubanks also got some time. Both of them will likely get more opportunities on Friday with O'Neale possibly getting the start if they decide to go with a smaller lineup.
Phoenix Suns guard Bradley Beal (hamstring) has been listed as doubtful on the injury report ahead of their Friday night matchup against the Houston Rockets. The 30-year-old missed their last game before the All-Star break and missed the first half of the back-to-back on Thursday due to the same tightness that he's experiencing in his left hamstring. Beal will likely miss a third contest and it's unclear how long he'll need to remain on the sidelines to clear up the hamstring issue. The recovery time varies from case to case. While he's watching from the bench, Grayson Allen and Eric Gordon will likely pick up the slack in the starting five while Royce O'Neale should get some added opportunities from the bench.
Phoenix Suns guard Bradley Beal (hamstring) won't play on Thursday versus Dallas. He tweaked his hamstring during a meeting with the Kings and didn't play the following night against Detroit, the Suns final game before the All-Star break. There was talk he'd be good to suit up. However, head coach Frank Vogel indicated Beal is "not quite ready." Nonetheless, Devin Booker will likely see an uptick in usage without Beal on the floor. Additionally, Royce O'Neale, averaging 7.0 points, 5.0 boards, and 2.3 steals in three games with the Suns, is worth starting in any fantasy league.
Phoenix Suns guard Bradley Beal (hamstring) is questionable heading into Thursday's showdown with the Dallas Mavericks. The veteran suffered a left hamstring injury during a game versus the Sacramento Kings and didn't suit up the following night against Detroit, the final game for the Suns heading into the All-Star break. Without question, Beal has been burdened by injuries this year. He battled a back injury earlier in the season and underwent a procedure on his nose in January. The 30-year-old has also averaged 18.2 points during the 2023-24 campaign, five points fewer than last season. Nevertheless, reports continue to indicate Beal will be out there on Thursday. But if he's not, Royce O'Neale, who's averaged 7.0 points, 5.0 boards, and 2.3 steals in three games with the Suns, is worth rostering in any fantasy league.
