Phoenix Suns center Jusuf Nurkic (ankle) is available on Wednesday, according to Suns head coach Mike Budenholzer. Nurkic missed Monday's game against the Orlando Magic with a sprained ankle, though that absence may have also been influenced with the game being the second leg of a back-to-back. The 30-year-old has averaged just 8.5 points but has grabbed 9.8 rebounds per game. Fantasy managers and DFS gamers should find a way to get him in their lineups, especially if you are looking for rebounding production in your lineups.
According to ESPN's Shams Charania, Phoenix Suns forwardKevin Durant(calf) could return as early as Tuesday next week against the Lakers for the NBA Cup game. The 36-year-old has been out since suffering a left calf strainagainst the Mavs on November 9th. Getting Durant back will be a massive boost for fantasy managers, as he is averaging 27.6 points, 6.6 rebounds, and 1.4 blocks while shooting 42.9% from behind the arc. In the meantime, Devin Booker will need to continueto pick up some of the slack on the scoring end, while Tyus Jones,Grayson Allen, and Royce O'Nealecould also surpass fantasy expectations at times until Durant is back.
Phoenix Suns guard Bradley Beal (calf) won't play against the Knicks on Wednesday night. The 31-year-old will now miss his fifth-straight contest, which is not ideal, considering the team is also without Kevin Durant (calf). Even worse, Jusuf Nurkic (ankle) is questionable heading into Wednesday's game. At any rate, Oso Ighodaro and Ryan Dunn should continue to start, although Grayson Allen, who had 17 points off the bench on Monday, is a much safer fantasy option.
Phoenix Suns center Jusuf Nurkic (ankle) is questionable for Wednesday's matchup with the New York Knicks. The veteran has been burdened by an ankle injury. While he's mostly played through it, it finally kept him off the floor for Monday's loss to the Orlando Magic. Mason Plumlee got the start in that one, ending the night with 11 boards, eight points, and six assists. With that said, Plumlee will retain streaming value if Nurkic can't get back on the floor for Wednesday's contest.
Phoenix Suns center Jusuf Nurkic (ankle) is still ailing from a sprained ankle and will have to miss Monday's game against the Orlando Magic. The veteran big man has carried an injury status with his ankle for the past handful of games and has only been forced to miss one other contest. His ankle sprain seems to be more of a day-to-day issue, so fantasy managers will want to stay tuned for updates ahead of their next game on Wednesday. Mason Plumlee should see extra minutes in the meantime while Royce O'Neale will probably get some time in small-ball lineups.
