Phoenix Suns guard Devin Booker (ankle) was originally expected to miss 7-10 days with an ankle sprain, so it's not surprising that he's not supposed to play against the Boston Celtics on Saturday. Gary Washburn of the Boston Globe reported that head coach Frank Vogel told the media that Booker is doubtful for this contest, so there's an outside chance he plays. With that being said, fantasy managers should still look for a backup plan which could be either Grayson Allen or Eric Gordon. Both should get plenty of opportunities without Booker's offense on the floor, but Allen has been looking like the most consistent option.
Phoenix Suns guard Josh Okogie (abdominal) has been ruled out ahead of Thursday's game against the Toronto Raptors. Okogie has missed their last two games and appears to be in line to sit out at least one more. Head coach Frank Vogel hinted that Okogie hasn't made much progress over the last few days. His absence should mean more playing time for Eric Gordon and Saben Lee off the bench. Between the two, Gordon is the better streaming option due to his ability from beyond the arc.
Phoenix Suns guard Jusuf Nurkic (calf) will play on Tuesday night against the Nuggets. The 2014 No. 16 overall pick was on the injury report for Sunday's game versus OKC because of neck spasms. However, he played and finished with 31 rebounds, a franchise record. But Nurkic was dealing with calf soreness heading into this one, and after he was downgraded to questionable, there were concerns about his availability. Yet, he is good to go for the meeting with Nikola Jokic and the Nuggets. The 29-year-old had 31 points versus Denver in early December, which is an extra incentive for fantasy managers to get him in the starting lineup.
Phoenix Suns guard/forward Josh Okogie (abdomen) will miss a second consecutive game on Tuesday versus Denver. He's battling a lower abdominal strain. Okogie kicked off the campaign as a starter in Phoenix, but he's been now nailed to a bench for over two months, and the 25-year-old offers very little in fantasy basketball as a member of the second unit. Eric Gordon will lead the bench mob in Tuesday's very challenging matchup against the reigning champions, with Saben Lee getting some extra opportunities off the pine without Okogie and Devin Booker (ankle).
Phoenix Suns center Jusuf Nurkic (calf) is considered questionable for the meeting with Denver on Tuesday evening. The 29-year-old appeared on the injury report before Sunday's game against OKC because of neck spasms. However, it must not have been much of an issue, considering he amassed 31 rebounds, a new Suns' franchise record. But now Nurkic is bothered by calf tightness, so Drew Eubanks and Bol Bol could be in line for more work if he doesn't suit up. Of course, neither man is as dependable from a fantasy perspective, although both could serve as viable value options for DFS managers.
