Philadelphia 76ers guard Tyrese Maxey (concussion) has cleared concussion protocol and will return for Tuesday's meeting with the New York Knicks. After taking a blow to the head in last Sunday's victory over the Dallas Mavericks, Maxey is good to go following a four-game absence. The 23-year-old All-Star playmaker draws a stiff assignment in his return but is averaging 28.0 points, 5.9 assists, 5.1 rebounds, 2.9 threes, and 1.0 steals through his last eight showings.
Philadelphia 76ers forward Kelly Oubre Jr. recorded a double-double while providing 18 points (6-19 FG, 0-3 3Pt, 6-9 FT), 10 rebounds, three assists and three steals in 33 minutes during a 79-73 win over New York on Sunday. He is on the court around 29.2 minutes per game, averaging 14.5 points, 4.6 rebounds, and 1.2 assists. The 28-year-old has now grabbed 10 or more rebounds in two games this season. Both contests ended in double-doubles.
Phoenix Suns guard/forward Eric Gordon (knee) won't play on Monday versus the Cavaliers. The veteran sniper hurt his left knee on Saturday against Boston and will need some time to heal. He's gone through a very rough three-game stretch, so having some time off might actually do good for Gordon, who went scoreless in 29 minutes against the Celtics and has made only three of his last 17 shot attempts. Gordon's exit from the lineup will coincide with the likely return of Devin Booker (ankle), who will grab his minutes and then some.
Los Angeles Clippers guard Paul George (knee) won't suit up for Sunday's meeting with the Bucks. The Clippers played on Saturday against Chicago, with George logging 40 minutes and finishing with 22 points, nine assists, three blocks, and two steals. But with Los Angeles looking to make a deep postseason run, head coach Ty Lue will get some of his stars some rest, including Kawhi Leonard (groin). James Harden (shoulder) is available, so he is the favorite to lead the way from a production standpoint. However, Ivica Zubac, Tre Mann, and Norman Powell are three players who should see extra scoring chances, making them all viable options for any fantasy format. At the same time, Amir Coffey has potential as a DFS value play.
Philadelphia 76ers guard Tyrese Maxey (concussion) has been ruled out for Sunday's game against the New York Knicks. The 23-year-old All-Star is still in the NBA concussion protocol and will miss his fourth consecutive game. Kyle Lowry and Cameron Payne will get increased minutes in Maxey's absence from the point guard position. In addition, Kelly Oubre Jr., Buddy Hield, and Tobias Harris are in line for an uptick in usage. The next chance for the 76ers fan-favorite guard to play will be Tuesday in a rematch against the Knicks if he gets cleared from the concussion protocol between games.
