Los Angeles Lakers center Anthony Davis (ankle) is currently dealing with a left-ankle sprain/bone bruise, according to the official injury report, but he's still considered probable to play on Friday night. The superstar big man appears on the injury report with all sorts of different ailments, but he's been able to play through most of them this season. He's currently on pace to play in more games than the last three seasons, and his per-game fantasy value has ballooned to third overall. As long as Davis is healthy, he should be deployed in every fantasy lineup possible, regardless of format or league size.
Los Angeles Lakers guard D'Angelo Russell (tailbone) is listed as doubtful for Friday's game against the Memphis Grizzlies. It appears the young guard is in danger of missing his third game in a row due to a tailbone contusion. The Lakers could be asking their bench to step up big time with LeBron James (ankle) also questionable on Friday. Max Christie figures to continue having an increased role in the offense if Russell or James sits out. Christie dropped 14 points and five rebounds in 28 minutes on Wednesday. He's worth a look as a streaming option with the Lakers banged up right now.
Los Angeles Lakers forward LeBron James (ankle) is currently listed as questionable for Friday's game against the Memphis Grizzlies. Unsurprisingly, James is back on the injury report, but this time with an ankle injury. The superstar forward was able to play through an illness on Wednesday. However, his availability for Wednesday remains uncertain because an ankle injury is a bit more serious an a illness. If he sits, Max Christie and Christian Wood would see increased playing time. Between the two, Christie is the better streaming option. Also, Anthony Davis (ankle) would be asked to carry the team on offense if James sits out. Fantasy managers will have to check back on Friday for another update on his status.
Los Angeles Lakers forward Cam Reddish (groin) will move into the starting five ahead of Wednesday's game against the Miami Heat. Reddish will make his return to the court after missing their last game due to groin soreness. He'll move into the starting unit due to the fact Rui Hachimura (calf) has been ruled out. Max Christie and Christian Wood should see bigger roles off the bench without Hachimura available. None of the three players are reliable streaming options, but Christie has the best streaming appeal for Wednesday's slate.
Los Angeles Lakers forward Rui Hachimura (calf) is not expected to miss much time after suffering an injury during Sunday's game. It was revealed that Hachimura suffered a Grade 1 calf strain during Sunday's contest. The Lakers are currently listing Hachimura as day-to-day, which is good news for fantasy managers. Hachimura won't play on Wednesday, but it doesn't sound like he's going to miss significant time. Cam Reddish (groin) should start in his place and have increased fantasy value until Hachimura gets back on the court.
