Dallas Mavericks head coach Jason Kidd says guard Luka Doncic (ankle) is questionable for Tuesday's clash versus the Indiana Pacers. Averaging 38.7 minutes over his last 16 games for the Mavs, Doncic is managing ankle soreness that's threatening his status. It sounds like a minor issue, but he'll nonetheless carry a questionable tag into Tuesday's tilt. Since Jan. 26, the Slovenian MVP candidate is banking 36.8 points, 10.8 assists, 9.9 rebounds, 3.9 threes, and 1.6 steals per game. Kyrie Irving would run Dallas' offense against the Pacers if Doncic is out, while Tim Hardaway Jr. would see more run from the bench. Indiana carries the sixth-worst defensive efficiency rating (116.6) in the league, and it's worth noting the Feb. 25 meeting between these two clubs sported a massive 251.5-point implied total.
Dallas Mavericks guard Luka Doncic (ankle, nose) is good to go on Friday night versus the Celtics. The multi-time All-Star has made routine appearances on the injury report of late because of a broken nose. However, he is now battling an ankle issue, so he was in danger of missing this one. Fortunately for fantasy managers, Doncic will suit up. He had 33 points, 18 rebounds, 13 assists, and two steals against Boston at the end of January, meaning he's an even more attractive option for all fantasy lineups on Friday evening.
Dallas Mavericks forward/center Maxi Kleber (toe, nose) is set to return to the lineup for Friday's battle with Boston. He skipped the second leg of a back-to-back on Wednesday versus Toronto. Despite the Mavericks getting frontcourt help in the form of P.J. Washington and Daniel Gafford, Kleber has continued to see 20-plus minutes regularly. However, he's struggled to please fantasy managers, averaging only 5.5 points and 3.6 rebounds in 22.2 minutes for the season.
Dallas Mavericks point guard Luka Doncic (ankle) has been listed as questionable for Friday's intriguing matchup against Boston. He's picked up a left ankle sprain after posting a big 30-point triple-double on his 25th birthday Wednesday night. Doncic has been a warrior for the Mavericks, missing only one of the last 18 contests. If Doncic can't play, Kyrie Irving would get the keys to the offensive in a revenge game against this former team, while there would also be plenty of shots available for others. Tim Hardaway Jr. and Dante Exum are the main candidates to replace him in the starting lineup.
Dallas Mavericks forward/center Maxi Kleber (nose, toe) won't be in action on Wednesday versus Toronto. He comes out of the lineup after playing 27 minutes against Cleveland on Tuesday. Kleber's absence is likely only for rest purposes, and there's a strong possibility he'll be back in the lineup next time out against Boston. Derrick Jones Jr. should benefit from Kleber's absence on Wednesday, although the German veteran has only been a bench piece lately, and the available minutes will likely be shared around the squad.
