Chicago Cubs outfielder Seiya Suzuki went 2-for-4 with a home run and single on Saturday evening. Suzuki tallied his 15th long ball of the season in the opening frame which also scored Michael Busch. This was his third consecutive game tallying multiple hits. Since July 1, the 29-year-old has been riding an excellent .309/.378/.580 line. The outfielder boasts a 50.5% hard-hit rate and 92.6 mph average exit velocity which place him in the top 92nd percentile among all hitters, respectively, which suggests he could enjoy a big second half. Despite the disappointing season the Cubs have had, Suzuki should always remain in your starting lineup and is worth a look in DFS in favorable matchups.
Chicago Cubs outfielder Seiya Suzuki tallied two hits in Wednesday afternoon's loss to the division-rival Milwaukee Brewers, belting his 14th home run of the campaign. Suzuki launched a solo homer off Brewers right-hander Bryse Wilson to left, giving the Cubs a 2-1 lead over Milwaukee in the third inning. The 29-year-old Japanese right fielder is as steady as they come from a fantasy perspective, contributing to all five categories while slashing a healthy .264/.333/.472 with 14 dingers, 47 RBI, 42 runs scored, and 10 stolen bases over 303 at-bats in the Windy City this season.
Chicago Cubs outfielder Seiya Suzuki had a big day in Thursday's victory versus the Baltimore Orioles. Suzuki went 3-for-5 with a pair of doubles, one triple and three RBI on the evening. The outfielder struggled earlier in the season at the dish, but has turned this on over the last month of the season. Over that span, Suzuki has .265 with five homers, 17 RBI and six stolen bases. The Cubs offense as a whole has been a major disappointment and the recent loss of Cody Bellinger (finger) weakens the lineup even more. Despite that, Suzuki should continue be a valuable member in all formats moving forward. Suzuki will look to keep it going on Friday in a tough matchup versus Sonny Gray and the rival St. Louis Cardinals.
Chicago Cubs outfielder/designated hitter Seiya Suzuki had a nice game at the plate in Tuesday's 6-4 loss to the Phillies. Suzuki went 2-for-4 with a single, a three-run home run, and two strikeouts. The 29-year-old made things interesting late, crushing a ninth-inning Jose Ruiz fastball into the center-field seats to bring the Cubs within two. Suzuki has provided solid overall fantasy value this season, slashing .262/.332/.468 with 11 HR, 32 runs scored, 34 RBI, and seven stolen bases in 262 plate appearances. He has missed some time on the injured list with a right oblique strain, but he should continue to be a solid fantasy option if he can stay in the lineup.
Chicago Cubs outfielder Seiya Suzuki is not in the starting lineup on Thursday on the road against the division-rival Milwaukee Brewers. Mike Tauchman is getting the start in right field and will bat leadoff for the Cubs against Brewers right-hander Colin Rea. Suzuki will get a break in the middle of a modest six-game hitting streak in which he's gone 8-for-27 with eight singles, a walk and five strikeouts. The 29-year-old Japanese outfielder missed a little time with an oblique injury this year and is currently batting .254/.312/.389 with four home runs, 16 RBI and 19 runs scored. Expect him to return to the lineup on Friday for the series opener against the visiting Cincinnati Reds. Tauchman will be a nice DFS target in the leadoff spot against a right-handed pitcher. The 33-year-old lefty slugger has all four of his home runs against righties in 2024, also adding seven doubles in 156 plate appearances.
