Cleveland Browns rookie wide receiver Cedric Tillman (concussion) was unable to practice with the team on Wednesday. Tillman suffered a concussion in the Week 18 game against the Cincinnati Bengals and is in danger of missing the first postseason game of his career this Saturday against the Houston Texans. Thankfully for the Browns, Amari Cooper (heel), who missed the last two games of the regular season, said he will return for wild-card weekend. If Tillman isn't given the green light to play Saturday, David Bell should serve as Cleveland's No. 3 wideout behind Cooper and Elijah Moore. The 23-year-old Tillman had a very limited pass-catching role in his first season in the NFL, going for 21 catches on 44 targets for only 224 yards without finding the end zone a single time.
Cleveland Browns wide receiver Cedric Tillman (concussion) is in the league's concussion protocol and is not practicing on Tuesday, according to Jake Trotter of ESPN. The rookie apparently suffered the injury during the Week 18 loss to the Cincinnati Bengals, and he could be in jeopardy of missing the Wild Card bout against the Houston Texans. The third-round pick from Tennessee has hauled in 21 of his 44 targets for 224 yards in 14 games this season. However, his role only started to expand mid-season after Donovan Peoples-Jones was traded to the Detroit Lions. He has played no fewer than 61% of the team's snaps since Week 9, so his absence could propel David Bell and Marquise Goodwin into expanded roles. Amari Cooper (heel/rest) also isn't practicing on Tuesday, but there's no indication that he won't play.
Cleveland Browns wide receiver Cedric Tillman has caught 18 passes for 181 yards in his rookie season. Tillman could be in store for a larger role in Week 18's matchup against the Cincinnati Bengals. The Browns have already locked up the No. 5 seed in the AFC and are planning to rest several key players in the regular-season finale. Amari Cooper (heel) has already been ruled out and Elijah Moore (concussion) is listed as questionable. It would be a bit of a surprise to see Cleveland rush Moore back into action after he suffered a concussion back in Week 17's Thursday night game. Tillman should conceivably operate as Cleveland's No. 1 wideout against a Cincy defense that is allowing the 10th-most fantasy points per game to the position this season. Assuming Moore doesn't play, Tillman sets up as an interesting dart throw in DFS tournaments on Sunday and can be used as a desperation flex in season-long formats.
