Tampa Bay Buccaneers tight end Cade Otton has picked up his performance over the last few weeks. Otton started off slow with two duds, but has played better over the last two weeks. The third-year tight end has 44 receiving yards or more over each of the last three games. It's also worth noting that the Bucs could be without Rachaad White (foot), Jalen McMillan (hamstring), and Trey Palmer (concussion) for Sunday's game against the New Orleans Saints. That means, Otton could be pushed up the pecking order with the Bucs having less options on offense. Otton has done enough lately to be a playable option as a TE2 for this Week 6 matchup.
Tampa Bay Buccaneers tight end Cade Otton continued his success during Thursday's game against the Atlanta Falcons. Otton hauled in three of his four targets for 44 yards during the overtime loss. This now marks three straight games that Otton has surpassed 40 receiving yards. This is nice to see after Otton had one total reception through the first two weeks of the season. It's worth noting that Otton is going to remain third on the pecking order, so fantasy managers shouldn't expect huge games from him. However, Otton should be able to do enough on a weekly basis to hold TE2 value.
Tampa Bay Buccaneers tight end Cade Otton was basically invisible to begin the season, but has turned it around over the last few weeks. On Sunday, Otton hauled in six of his nine targets for 52 yards in the win over the Philadelphia Eagles. Otton now has 13 receptions on 17 targets for 99 yards over the last two games. Otton remains third on the pecking order, but he has found a way to produce over the last two games. He has forced himself into the TE2 discussion heading into next week's matchup against the Atlanta Falcons.
Tampa Bay Buccaneers tight end Cade Otton is coming off his best game of the season during last week's loss to the Denver Broncos. Otton hauled in seven of his eight targets for 47 yards in the blowout loss. Before that game, Otton had one reception for five yards entering Week 3. Fantasy managers should view Otton's seven-catch performance as more of a fluke than anything else. He's heading into a tough matchup against the Philadelphia Eagles defense that has been a solid job against the tight end spot. Fantasy managers should view Otton as a low-end TE2 for this Week 4 matchup.
Tampa Bay Buccaneers tight end Cade Otton came out of nowhere with a breakout performance in Week 3. Otton was barely involved through the first two games before becoming the reception leader during Sunday's game against the Denver Broncos. Otton hauled in seven of his eight targets for 47 yards in the loss. Quarterback Baker Mayfield was pressured all game long and needed to make quick short throws. The third-year tight end didn't have a ton of yardage, but this is a positive sign. It remains to be seen if this was a fluke or if Otton can be a viable option in this offense.
