Tampa Bay Buccaneers tight end Cade Otton saw more involvement in the offense after posting a dud last week. Otton hauled in four of his seven targets for 20 yards during Sunday's overtime victory over the Carolina Panthers. It wasn't a great day for Otton on the field, but the seven targets tied him for second on the team only behind wide receiver Mike Evans. Fantasy managers need to prepare for Otton to only be a TE2 going forward. He has failed to surpass 35 receiving yards in a single game since Week 9. Otton should be treated as a TE2 for next week's matchup with the Las Vegas Raiders.
Tampa Bay Buccaneers tight end Cade Otton was helping carry the load on offense while wide receiver Mike Evans was sidelined. Last week, Evans made his return to the field and Otton saw his workload take a significant hit. The third-year tight end was able to haul in one of his three targets for 30 yards in the win over the New York Giants. The expectation is that Otton is going to see his value decrease with Evans back in the mix. However, Otton has shown he's capable of being a legitimate contributor, so he should still remain in the offensive gameplan. Fantasy managers should expect a bounce back outing from Otton against the Carolina Panthers this weekend. Although, fantasy managers should keep their expectations in check as his eight-catch games are probably behind him now.
Tampa Bay Buccaneers tight end Cade Otton put together a handful of strong performances heading into the Week 12 matchup against the New York Giants. Sadly, fantasy managers who started Otton this week received a dud from him. Otton hauled in one of his three targets for 10 yards in the win over the New York Giants. The assumption is that the return of wide receiver Mike Evans would take away some of the targets from Otton. However, the expectation was that Otton would still be able to do more than a 10-yard performance. Fantasy managers can be hopeful for a bounce back performance from Otton during next week's game against the Carolina Panthers.
Tampa Bay Buccaneers tight end Cade Otton has seen his fantasy value skyrocket over the last month or so. The Bucs are shorthanded on offense which has resulted in a bigger role for Otton on offense. The 25-year-old has seen eight or more targets in each of the last four games. However, Otton could see his role decrease with wide receiver Mike Evans (hamstring) likely to return in Week 12. The expectation is that Otton will remain involved, but he could lose some targets. Fantasy managers should still be able to lean on him as a TE1 against the New York Giants this weekend. Although, fantasy managers shouldn't too many more 10-plus target games from Otton.
Tampa Bay Buccaneers tight end Cade Otton has been unbelievable over the last few weeks, but was finally held in check on Sunday. Otton hauled in five of his eight targets for 35 yards in what ended up being a loss to the San Francisco 49ers. Well, Otton's tremendous run had to end at some point, but at least he was still able to do some damage here. Fantasy managers will have to look elsewhere for help next week with the Bucs on a bye week. After that, wide receiver Mike Evans (hamstring) is expected to make his return to the field. If that happens, Otton could lose some fantasy value heading into the Week 12 matchup against the New York Giants.
