Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback Baker Mayfield (ankle, ribs), who was questionable to play in Monday night's wild-card playoff game against the Philadelphia Eagles, is officially active. Mayfield tweaked his ankle in Week 18 against the Carolina Panthers but was able to practice last week and was fully expected to play in the first round of the playoffs. The 28-year-old is one of the tougher QBs in the league and had the best season of his career in his first year in Tampa, but he's heading into this contest with two straight down performances. Mayfield certainly won't be 100 percent on Monday night, but he has a great chance for a bounce-back performance in the wild-card playoff game against an Eagles defense that has seen a big decline in all aspects after making a Super Bowl run last year.
Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback Baker Mayfield (ankle, ribs) is currently listed as questionable ahead of Monday's playoff game against the Philadelphia Eagles. Mayfield has been dealing with a ribs issue for some time now but recently picked up an ankle injury. He was able to hobble his way through the regular season finale but didn't look like himself. Mayfield was a limited participant during Friday's practice but is still expected to suit up for this game. However, it's unknown what version of Mayfield we're going to get in this game. He probably won't be fully healthy, which means he'll be a risky DFS option. Although, even a banged up Mayfield is still a better option than having Kyle Trask under center.
Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback Baker Mayfield (ankle, ribs) is listed as questionable heading into Monday's Wild-Card contest against the Philadelphia Eagles. The veteran signal-caller didn't participate in walkthrough on Thursday and was a limited participant during Friday's practice. He comes into this game dealing with two nagging injuries. Mayfield hobbled his way through the regular season finale, but he didn't look too good on the field. There is no doubt that Mayfield will want to play in this postseason contest. However, it remains to be seen if he's physically able to suit up. If active, Mayfield would be a risky DFS option given that he's unlikely to be at 100 percent. Otherwise, Kyle Trask would be under center for the Bucs, which would be a huge downgrade for this offense.
Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback Baker Mayfield (ankle, ribs) was listed as a limited participant in the team's practice on Friday. Mayfield was a non-participant on Thursday after injuring his ankle in the Week 18 win over the Carolina Panthers. With one more day of practice leading up to Monday night's wild-card playoff game against the Philadelphia Eagles, it would be a huge surprise if Mayfield wasn't ready to play in the first round of the playoffs. The 28-year-old heads into the postseason coming off two down performances in a row, but luckily he'll have one of the best matchups for a QB on wild-card weekend against an Eagles defense that allowed the second-most fantasy points per game (20.8) to the QB position in 2033, behind only the Washington Commanders. Mayfield is a worthwhile low-cost DFS sleeper this week.
Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback Baker Mayfield (ankle, ribs) is dealing with multiple injuries heading into the wild-card playoff game on Monday night against the Philadelphia Eagles and was listed as a non-participant in Thursday's practice. Mayfield has been gutting through some injuries the past couple weeks and picked up a new one this past Sunday in the Week 18 win over the Carolina Panthers. The 28-year-old is fully expected to play on Monday night, but the Bucs are clearly giving him some extra time off heading into the playoffs. He hasn't looked very good the last two weeks following a strong stretch of play. The good news is he'll be faced with one of the best matchups for a QB during wild-card weekend, which will make him a heavy consideration as a DF sleeper at a lower cost against Philly.
