Barrett's participation on Thursday is certainly a positive sign, though the 24-year-old is still listed as doubtful for Friday night's matchup against the Philadelphia 76ers. Toronto plays in a back-to--back starting with Friday's game, so a more likely return date for Barrett may be Monday night against the Denver Nuggets. In his absence, along with the absence of fellow forward Kelly Olynyk, the Raptors deployed a three guard lineup that saw Gradey Dick be the beneficiary of additional volume. Dick put up 16 points and two blocks on Wednesday. Fantasy managers should consider targeting the 20-year-old as a viable fill-in option while both Barrett and Olynyk are out.

But with Bruce Brown (knee) and Kelly Olynyk (back) ruled out, Scottie Barnes and Immanuel Quickley should carry the load on the offensive end. There's also room for Gradey Dick and Ochai Agbaji to smash their projections for Wednesday evening.

Barrett also shot 39.2% from deep, the second-best mark of his career. His status for the opener against the Cavs on October 23 is up in the air. But if the former Knick can't suit up for that one, Ochai Agbaji would likely take his spot in the rotation.

Toronto Raptors guard RJ Barrett (shoulder) was forced to exit the team's preseason contest against the Washington Wizards on Sunday with an apparent shoulder contusion and was held out for the rest of the game as a precaution. Barrett was hit by a defender fighting through a screen and immediately went to the locker room to get his shoulder checked out. There hasn't been any official word on what the injury is just yet, so it seems like it's being labeled a "contusion" at the moment. Barrett finished Sunday's game with 17 points, two rebounds, two assists, and three turnovers on 7-for-10 shooting and 3-for-4 from downtown.
