Dallas Mavericks forward/center Maxi Kleber brought a flamethrower to Wednesday's Game 5 against the Clippers, finishing 5-for-7 from downtown during a 15-point effort. He had as many triples as the Clippers' starting five combined as Dallas dominated in Los Angeles and took a 3-2 series lead. Kleber bagged three rebounds and an assist as well in 19 minutes off the bench. This was by far his best performance of the 2024 playoffs, and it's unlikely Kleber will repeat it soon. However, his three-point shooting has been top-notch throughout the series. After going 0-for-3 in Game 1, Kleber has missed only three of his 12 attempts from deep.
Dallas Mavericks forward/center Maxi Kleber (back) is listed as questionable for Tuesday's game against the Hornets. Kleber returned to action Sunday against Houston after missing one game. However, he is still dealing with back spasms. Against the Rockets, the 32-year-old played 30 minutes and registered nine points, four rebounds, three assists, two steals, and a block in the win. Daniel Gafford and Dwight Powell could see an uptick in minutes if Kleber cannot suit up.
Dallas Mavericks forward/center Maxi Kleber (back) is out for Friday's game against Golden State. Kleber had a decent showing in Thursday's win over Atlanta, finishing with seven points, six boards, and one block in 21 minutes. But he'll sit this one out because of back spasms. The Mavs also won't have Dereck Lively II (knee), so Daniel Gafford should get even more work. There's also a chance Dwight Powell gets some action, although he's hard to trust from a fantasy standpoint.
Dallas Mavericks forward/center Maxi Kleber (knee) will play on Tuesday versus Sacramento. Dallas needs a win on Tuesday night, so it's all hands on deck for this one. Luka Doncic (Achilles) is available, which is undoubtedly good news. And while Kleber provides depth for the Mavs, he's only averaged 2.2 points and 2.7 rebounds in the last 10 games, meaning he's not worth considering for DFS contests.
Dallas Mavericks forward/center Maxi Kleber (knee) is questionable for Monday's tilt with Utah due to left knee soreness. If the big man is unavailable, Dereck Lively and Daniel Gafford would likely see more action than usual. Kleber has played in just 33 contests this season, averaging 20.9 minutes per game while posting 4.4 points, 3.3 rebounds, 1.7 assists and 0.6 blocks. He should not be considered an option for fantasy play on Monday.
