Miami Heat forward/center Kevin Love (heel) will see his absence stretch to 10 games on Monday against Philadelphia. The veteran is battling a right heel bruise. Thomas Bryant has crept into the rotation lately, but Love's injury means a lot of Bam Adebayo on the Heat frontcourt. Nikola Jovic and Haywood Highsmith have also played larger roles during his absence. With Jovic also out, Highsmith gets a chance to play a very significant role in the rotation, but he flunked as a starter on Sunday versus Detroit, and things won't be any easier for him on Monday in a tougher matchup.
Miami Heat forward/center Kevin Love (heel) hasn't traveled with the team to Detroit for Friday's matchup against the Pistons, missing an eighth consecutive game. The veteran is struggling to overcome a heel injury, which he picked up late last month. Love's absence has secured a regular starting role for Nikola Jovic, with Haywood Highsmith and Caleb Martin providing cover off the bench. The latter is the most attractive fantasy piece of the three, and Martin continues to see 30-plus minutes regularly despite his bench role.
Miami Heat guard Tyler Herro (foot) and center Kevin Love (heel) remain out for Wednesday's contest versus the Denver Nuggets. Herro will be sidelined for a ninth straight game due to medial tendinitis in his right foot, while Love will miss a seventh consecutive matchup with a bruised right heel. Friday's tilt against the Detroit Pistons marks both players' next opportunities to return for the Heat. While there's no direct fantasy beneficiary of Love's absence due to his limited playing time, Duncan Robinson has delivered top-75 value in nine-category setups through his last 12 games (10 starts), averaging 15.2 points, 3.6 assists, and 3.6 threes on 43.4% shooting from downtown with 92.9% shooting from the free-throw line.
Miami Heat guard Tyler Herro (foot) and center Kevin Love (heel) are not traveling on the team's current two-game road trip for Thursday against the Dallas Mavericks and Friday versus the Oklahoma City Thunder. It rules Herro and Love out until Sunday's matchup versus the Washington Wizards at the earliest, as the former is dealing with medial tendinitis in his right foot, and the latter is nursing a right heel bruise. Herro hasn't played since Feb. 26, and Love has been out since Feb. 29. Duncan Robinson has started each of Miami's last five games without Herro and should continue to do so, while Caleb Martin and Jaime Jaquez Jr. soak up some of Love's reserve minutes.
Miami Heat forward/center Kevin Love (heel) will miss a third consecutive game on Tuesday against the Pistons. The 2016 NBA champion hurt his right heel versus Portland on Feb. 27, and judging by how early he got ruled out for Tuesday's contest, it looks like Love isn't close to returning. Nikola Jovic, Haywood Highsmith, and Orlando Robinson log additional frontcourt minutes without Love. All three have failed to impress in recent games and can't be trusted in fantasy hoops, although Tuesday's matchup is a favorable one against a team that's struggled badly all season.
