Miami Heat guard Josh Richardson (heel) will be unavailable for at least one week. Per Ira Winderman of the South Florida Sun-Sentinel, Richardson has had an injection in his right heel. The 31-year-old hasn't seen the court since Nov. 18, although he has recently been in the lineup. The 2024-25 campaign could not have gone much worse for Richardson, who has shot below 29 percent from the field to average 4.0 points in 18.6 minutes across eight outings. Miami has done just fine without Richardson, so his absence won't change the team's dynamics. If he can return in a week, Richardson will be out for two games, starting with Thursday's matchup against Toronto.
Miami Heat guard Josh Richardson (illness) is listed as questionable for Wednesday's match-up against the Los Angeles Lakers. The 31-year-old guard is at risk of missing another game after sitting out recent contests due to illness. Before his absence, he had seen a reduced role, averaging 18.8 minutes per game across eight appearances this season. His most recent game was on November 18th, when he played 14 minutes and scored four points against the 76ers. Richardson's playing time remains uncertain, even if he is available to play on Wednesday.
Miami Heat guard Josh Richardson (calf) has been ruled out ahead of Wednesday's game against the New York Knicks. Richardson has yet to play this season as he continues to deal with multiple injuries. The Heat are calling him day-to-day, but it remains to be seen when Richardson will get on the court again. In the meantime, Jaime Jaquez Jr. and Duncan Robinson should see more minutes in the rotation. Richardson is not worth a look in fantasy formats when healthy.
Miami Heat guard Josh Richardson (heel) practiced on Friday. He was able to put some work in after sitting out Wednesday's season opener against Orlando. With him back in practice, it shouldn't take long until Richardson returns to the lineup. The team is scheduled to face Charlotte in its next game on Saturday. Richardson is a versatile backcourt option for the Heat, although he tends to be very injury-prone. The 31-year-old made 43 appearances last term, averaging 9.9 points with 2.8 rebounds and 2.4 assists. He will be battling for backup guard minutes with Duncan Robinson and Alec Burks once he's ready to play.
Miami Heat guard Josh Richardson (heel) has been ruled out for Wednesday's season opener against the Orlando Magic. Richardson saw his season come to an early end last year due to a shoulder issue. He appears to be finally over that, but now Richardson is dealing with a left heel injury. The 31-year-old will miss the season opener, but will hopefully be available for Saturday's game against the Charlotte Hornets. Until then, Duncan Robinson and Alec Burks figure to see increased playing time. Neither of them are likely to see enough minutes to warrant rostering in most formats. Between the two, Robinson is the better fantasy option due to his ability to shoot from beyond the arc.
