Boston Celtics forward Jayson Tatum scored a game-high 36 points in Saturday's win over the Pacers. The Celtics trailed for most of the contest. However, the team got it together to go up three games in the series. The 26-year-old had a tough time finding the bottom of the net in the first two games of the Eastern Conference Finals. But he turned things around in Game 3, going 12-for-23 from the field and 5-for-10 from behind the arc, adding 10 rebounds, eight assists, two blocks, and one steal. Nevertheless, Boston can close out the series on Monday. Of course, DFS managers should expect Tatum to stay highly motivated in hopes of taking the C's back to the NBA Finals.
According to Boston Celtics head coach Joe Mazzulla, forward Jayson Tatum could spend time at center at some point during the Eastern Conference Finals versus the Pacers. While Mazzulla wasn't definitive about it, Tatum's potential move to the middle could mean less work for Al Horford, who has been starting in place of Kristaps Porzingis. With that in mind, Porzingis could be back for Game 4 on Monday, meaning Horford's DFS outlook for the rest of the series doesn't look as promising as it was during the Conference semifinals. It is even worse news for Luke Kornet, although the door could be open for Sam Hauser to get more action.
Boston Celtics forward Jayson Tatum had a big double-double in Tuesday's Eastern Conference Finals opener against Indiana, scoring a game-high 36 points and grabbing 12 rebounds to help the team to a 133-128 overtime win. He scored 11 of Boston's 16 points in overtime after Jaylen Brown had hit a tough three-pointer to extend the game. With him shooting 12-for-26 from the field, Tatum wasn't very efficient with his scoring, but his overall work, which included four assists and three steals, resulted in a game-best plus-20 rating. It's scary what he could do if he shoots better in Game 2. Tatum will enter Thursday's contest with a four-game double-double streak.
Boston Celtics forward Jayson Tatum came very close to his second postseason triple-double as the C's closed out the Cavaliers on Wednesday with a 113-98 win. Tatum played his part on offense with a team-high 25 points and nine assists while grabbing 10 rebounds. He had a major impact at the other end as well, recording four of Boston's six steals. This was a pretty rough series for Tatum shooting-wise, but he finally got things to click in Game 5, hitting 9-for-16 from the field with a 3-for-7 effort from deep. He can now start preparing for already his fifth Conference Finals series in seven years.
Boston Celtics forward Jayson Tatum had a game-high 33 points in Monday's win over the Cleveland Cavaliers. He added 11 rebounds, five assists, two steals, and one block. While Tatum struggled shooting the ball, going 11-for-25 from the field and 2-for-8 from deep, he still had one of his best showings of the postseason. The 26-year-old has now scored 66 points in the last two games, so DFS managers should keep him on the radar for Game 5 on Wednesday evening, with the C's looking to finish the series and advance to the Eastern Conference Finals.
