Los Angeles Lakers guard Gabe Vincent (knee) will sit out Tuesday's action against the Raptors. He's only just returned from a long injury layoff, and the Lakers start a back-to-back on Tuesday, so it makes sense that Vincent's load will be managed. The 27-year-old logged 14 minutes in his comeback game against Brooklyn on Sunday, scoring two points and recording one assist with one steal. Spencer Dinwiddie should see more minutes without Vincent on Tuesday. This is a good fantasy matchup for the Lakers against a team that is ranked 25th in the league with a 117.9 defensive rating.
According to The Athletic's Shams Charania, Los Angeles Lakers guard Gabe Vincent (knee) is expected to rejoin the lineup on Sunday versus Brooklyn. Vincent has been unavailable since Dec. 20 due to knee surgery. The former Heat player has been limited to only five games in his first year in L.A. He's posted 5.4 points, 3.0 assists, and 1.2 steals across 25.4 minutes. Vincent's return gives the Lakers an additional backcourt piece, but he likely won't be making a big impact in fantasy hoops, as there's a lot of competition for playing time.
Los Angeles Lakers guard Gabe Vincent (knee) is not currently traveling with the team ahead of Tuesday's game against the Milwaukee Bucks. If Vincent continues to progress in his rehab following left knee surgery, however, he could join LA at some point during their six-game road trip that runs through April 3, which is about midway through the fantasy finals. While the 27-year-old volume scorer could be an option for the 39-32 Lakers during the postseason, he'll still most likely be a non-factor for the fantasy playoffs outside of the deepest of leagues with such little time remaining to overcome likely minutes restrictions. Vincent hasn't suited up since December and is producing a mere 5.4 points on 37.5% shooting from the floor, 3.0 assists, and 1.2 steals in 25.4 minutes per game over five appearances this year. Continue ignoring him for fantasy purposes.
Los Angeles Lakers guard Gabe Vincent (knee) hasn't played since December 20 and has only appeared in five games this season. He returned briefly but had some issues with his knee again so the Lakers have been taking every precaution to make sure he can return healthy. On Friday afternoon, Vincent was seen in a practice uniform at the end of practice. He wasn't going full speed and seemed to only do some light work so it's unclear how soon he can return. The promising part is that he's dressing for practice now and it seems like a return to practice should be on the horizon.
The Athletic's Shams Charania reported on Tuesday that Los Angeles Lakers guard Gabe Vincent (knee) "is doing more and more on the court. Barring any setbacks, his hope is still mid-to-late March to get back in the lineup for the Lakers." After undergoing knee surgery in late December, Vincent is finally closing in on a return to the floor. The 27-year-old volume scorer has appeared in only five games this season, contributing 5.4 points on 37.5% shooting from the field, 3.0 assists, and 1.2 steals in 25.4 minutes per contest. Upon Vincent's return, he is expected to share reserve minutes with Spencer Dinwiddie from L.A.'s second unit and doesn't need to be rostered in fantasy leagues at this stage.
