Boston Celtics guard Derrick White might've found a long term home. Recently, president of basketball operations Brad Stevens said that he wants to keep White around for as long as possible. This statement makes sense after the strong campaign that White posted during this season. He averaged 15.2 points, 4.2 rebounds, and 5.2 assists in 32.6 minutes per game across 73 contests. Both the rebounds and assists were career highs for White. The 29-year-old appears to have found a home in Boston, so we'll see what happens over the offseason.
Boston Celtics guard Derrick White (ankle) is out for Sunday's season finale with the Washington Wizards. Fantasy managers should expect the 29-year-old to be available for the playoffs. The entire Celtics starting five is unavailable, plus Al Horford (toe) has been ruled out. Payton Pritchard will run the backcourt for now, while Jaden Springer and Svi Mykhailiuk will see more time on the court.
Boston Celtics guards Jrue Holiday (knee) and Derrick White (ankle) won't be in the lineup on Friday versus Charlotte. Boston will run with its bench mob against the Hornets, as the entire starting five plus Al Horford (toe) has been ruled out. Payton Pritchard will get the keys to the backcourt, with Jaden Springer and Svi Mykhailiuk also in a position to benefit from the absences of Holiday and White.
Boston Celtics guard Derrick White (back) isn't listed on the injury report ahead of Sunday's matchup with Portland. He didn't suit up for Friday's game against the Sacramento Kings because of back soreness. However, the 29-year-old will return after getting a night off. White has played well during the 2023-24 campaign, averaging 15.4 points, 5.2 assists, 4.3 rebounds, and 1.2 blocks, some of the best marks of his career. With that in mind, Jayson Tatum (knee) and Jaylen Brown (hand) are questionable, so White could be in for a big night against the 21-win Trail Blazers.
Boston Celtics guard Derrick White (back) has been ruled out for Friday's tilt versus the Sacramento Kings. The 60-16 Celtics have clinched the Association's best record, so fantasy managers could be without other Boston stars in the final few games of the year. White's next opportunity to return from a lower back contusion arrives on Sunday against the Portland Trail Blazers. In the star guard's absence on Friday, Payton Pritchard could leap into the first unit alongside Jrue Holiday in the backcourt. In his last four appearances when White was out of the lineup, Pritchard averaged 15.5 points, 6.5 assists, 4.8 rebounds, 1.0 steals, and 2.5 three-pointers and is in line for an uptick in minutes against a Sacramento squad that prioritizes offense over defense.
