According to Evan Sidery of Forbes, the Nuggets and Nets held "exploratory talks" surrounding forward Cameron Johnson. The former Sun has been rumored to be on the move for a while. But with teams having more flexibility to make trades, things are starting to pick up steam. Johnson had a rocky 2023-24 campaign. However, he's having the best year of his career, averaging 18.6 points, 4.2 rebounds, and 43.3% shooting from behind the arc. A trade with the Nuggets would likely involve Michael Porter Jr. Either way, it's unknown how much progress was made between both sides. With that in mind, Johnson would surely see a dip in production in Denver, considering he'd be sharing the floor with multi-time MVP Nikola Jokic.
Brooklyn Nets forward Cameron Johnson (ankle) is available for Wednesday's meeting with the Indiana Pacers. The former Phoenix Sun has been plagued by injuries throughout his career. However, his absence in Monday's loss to Chicago was only his first of the 2024-25 campaign. Johnson has also averaged a career-high 18.1 points while shooting 42.2% from deep. With Cam Thomas (hamstring) sidelined, Johnson should continue to get more scoring opportunities than usual against an Indiana team that has allowed 119.1 points per game this season, the third-worst mark in the National Basketball Association.
Brooklyn Nets forward Cameron Johnson (ankle) is questionable for Wednesday's matchup against the Indiana Pacers due to a left ankle sprain. If Johnson is unable to suit up, Tyrese Martin could see an increased role and potentially draw another start. Johnson has been an important contributor for the Nets, averaging 18.1 points and 4.2 rebounds per game. In his most recent outing against Orlando, he delivered an impressive 26 points in 36 minutes. Fantasy managers will want to monitor his status, as a return would provide a significant boost to their lineups.
Brooklyn Nets forward Cameron Johnson (ankle) will not suit up for Monday's tilt against Chicago. He has been downgraded from questionable to out. The Nets are down to bare bones on Monday, giving the likes of Jalen Wilson and Tyrese Martin a chance to showcase their talent better. Meanwhile, we should see Dennis Schroder a lot with the ball. The Brooklyn point guard has posted 20-plus points in each of his last three appearances and should do plenty of damage again on Monday, as the Bulls allow a league-high 124.2 points per game.
Brooklyn Nets forwardCameron Johnson(ankle) is listed as questionable for Monday's contest with the Chicago Bulls. Johnson injured his ankle on Sunday and was diagnosed with a sprain. The 28-year-old has been in fine form this campaign, putting up a career-high 18.1 points and is 42.2 percent shooting from three-point range. If Johnson cannot suit up, the Nets will be very shorthanded. Ziaire Williams (knee), Dorian Finney-Smith (ankle), and Ben Simmons (back) have all been ruled out.
