Philadelphia 76ers center Joel Embiid (knee) is questionable for Saturday's game against the Charlotte Hornets. The reigning MVP logged 31 minutes in Friday's win over the Orlando Magic, scoring 36 points and draining all 11 attempts from the charity stripe. But he's dealing with left knee soreness, so there's a good chance he won't suit up versus the nine-win Hornets. Of course, Tyrese Maxey, Kelly Oubre Jr., and Tobias Harris should absorb most of the scoring opportunities without Embiid in the lineup. However, Paul Reed, averaging 10.3 points, 6.1 rebounds, 1.5 blocks, and 1.2 steals this season in games without Embiid, is worth streaming in deeper fantasy setups.
Chicago Bulls center Andre Drummond (back) is considered probable for Saturday's matchup against the Grizzlies. The big man has been on the injury report with a lower back spasm for a while, but Drummond hasn't missed any games this season. It's safe to assume he'll be good to go on Saturday. The veteran has done well as Chicago's backup center, but Drummond is only a deep league asset in his current role. He logged just 9:42 of action last time out against Toronto.
Philadelphia 76ers center Joel Embiid (knee) is not seen on the team's injury report for Tuesday's game against the Denver Nuggets. After returning to play for 31 minutes on Monday after a three-game absence due to swelling in his left knee, Embiid is ready to go for this interconference showdown against Denver. With Nikola Jokic (hip) and the rest of the Nuggets' stars all expected to be out there as well, Tuesday's marquee matchup between two championship contenders certainly carries plenty of anticipation. The 29-year-old reigning MVP is leading the NBA with 34.9 points per game and has registered a whopping 17 consecutive showings with at least 30 points, shooting 55.6% from the floor with 1.2 triples and 3.4 combined steals and blocks per game since Nov. 17. Embiid is safe to deploy in all season-long fantasy leagues.
Philadelphia 76ers center Joel Embiid (knee) is expected to play on Tuesday against Denver after he returned to action on Monday. The reigning MVP crushed the Rockets with a 41-point, 10-rebound performance in 31 minutes. Embiid had missed three games with a left knee issue. However, it looks like he's fully recovered now, with Philadelphia ready to use him in a back-to-back situation. Hopefully, we also get to see Nikola Jokic (hip) on the court. The Nuggets star is carrying a questionable tag ahead of Tuesday's big encounter.
Miami Heat guard Kyle Lowry (hand) was originally listed as doubtful due to a left hand sprain but it seems like he's good enough to play since the team has officially upgraded him to active on Monday. The veteran guard should take his spot in the starting five again along with Jimmy Butler (toe) and Tyler Herro who are both active as well. Unfortunately, Lowry's play hasn't translated to a great fantasy performance as he's outside of the top 115 in nine-category leagues and only averages 8.9 points, 4.0 assists, 3.6 rebounds, 1.1 steals, and 1.5 turnovers per game. Fantasy managers in deep leagues could continue to play him, but he's not a must-start in 12-team leagues.
