Denver Nuggets point guard Reggie Jackson (toe) is listed as probable for Thursday's encounter with the Knicks. The veteran is nursing a left toe sprain but is expected to suit up. Jackson has yet to miss a game this season in Denver. He's been one of the league's top bench scorers, averaging 11.4 points per game while delivering 4.1 assists in 23.1 minutes. Thursday's game could be a tough one for Jackson and Denver's second unit, as only Orlando has allowed fewer bench points than the Knicks this season.
Los Angeles Clippers head coach Tyronn Lue said after Tuesday's 127-116 win over the Los Angeles Lakers that forward Paul George (groin) is dealing with a groin issue. Lue didn't mention anything about the wrap on George's knee. The Clippers start a seven-game East Coast road trip with a back-to-back set on Friday versus the Toronto Raptors and Saturday against the Boston Celtics, so there's a chance they could give George a maintenance day on one leg or the other for what sounds like a minor problem. PG-13 is netting first-round fantasy numbers in a mostly healthy campaign for the Clips, averaging 23.5 points, 5.6 rebounds, 3.6 assists, 3.6 threes, and 1.6 steals after scoring 17 points on 8-for-12 shooting in 30 minutes during Tuesday's victory.
Phoenix Suns guard/forward Eric Gordon (wrist) is officially listed as questionable for Wednesday's game against the Mavericks. Gordon sat out the team's last game due to right wrist soreness, and his status for the upcoming game remains uncertain. Grayson Allen and Keita Bates-Diop assumed the majority of Gordon's minutes in the last game, and they are likely to continue in that role if he is sidelined again. Despite missing seven games this year, the 35-year-old veteran is still averaging 13 points per game in 30 minutes of play.
The Miami Heat are trading guard Kyle Lowry and a 2027 first-round pick to the Charlotte Hornets for Terry Rozier. Though it's hard to imagine the 37-year-old former All-Star suiting up at all for the 10-31 Hornets, they "have no immediate plans to work on a buyout and are expected to see if they can work another trade for him before the Feb. 8 deadline". It's equally as difficult to envision Lowry starting alongside LaMelo Ball in Charlotte's backcourt, so the veteran floor general's already-declining fantasy arrow is pointing down. With decent averages of 8.2 points, 4.0 assists, 1.7 three-pointers on 38.5% shooting from deep, and 1.1 steals in 28.0 minutes across 37 contests, Lowry is managing top-150 value in nine-category fantasy leagues and remains a glue guy for contending rosters needing solid shooting, passing, and defense. Lowry is worth watching to see if he heads to a more favorable destination elsewhere.
Phoenix Suns guard Eric Gordon (wrist) has been ruled out ahead of Monday's game against the Chicago Bulls. The veteran guard will sit this game out after playing 30 minutes during Sunday's contest. Fantasy managers shouldn't be too worried as this is likely more of a rest game than anything else. The Suns will likely use a committee approach to help fill the void. Josh Okogie. Nassir Little, and Jordan Goodwin should all benefit. None of them are reliable streaming options even with more minutes.
