Oklahoma City Thunder forward Jalen Williams (ankle) is listed as out for Wednesday's tilt against the Boston Celtics. Williams will be unavailable on the second leg of OKC's back-to-back due to a sprained left ankle, with his next opportunity to take the court arriving on Friday against the Indiana Pacers. Head coach Mark Daigneault has mixed and matched his rotation when Williams has been sidelined in the past, so there likely won't be a clear-cut fantasy beneficiary of his absence in a dismal matchup against a Celtics squad that sits second in the league in opponent field-goal percentage (45.3%). Gordon Hayward and Jaylin Williams are candidates to start for the Thunder and are worth a look on waiver wires for desperate fantasy managers, though.
Oklahoma City Thunder guard Shai Gilgeous-Alexander (quad) is listed as out for Wednesday's game against the Boston Celtics. After missing Tuesday's loss to the Philadelphia 76ers due to a right quadriceps contusion, Gilgeous-Alexander won't suit up against the first-place Celtics and will try to return on Friday against the Indiana Pacers. In four games without SGA this season, Aaron Wiggins has averaged 13.3 points, 3.5 rebounds, 1.3 steals, and 1.5 three-pointers in 25.0 minutes, but he's a tough sell as a fantasy streamer against a Boston team yielding the fourth-fewest FanDuel points to opposing shooting guards.
Oklahoma City Thunder guard Shai Gilgeous-Alexander (quadriceps) has been downgraded from questionable to out for Tuesday's meeting with the Philadelphia 76ers. Gilgeous-Alexander didn't participate in the morning shootaround with his right quadriceps contusion, and he'll try to return during the third outing of a five-game East Coast swing and second leg of OKC's back-to-back on Wednesday against the first-place Boston Celtics. With Jalen Williams (ankle) also sidelined, Josh Giddey will serve as the Thunder's primary playmaker and ball handler and experience a big boost in fantasy appeal. Averaging 22.8 points on 63.9% shooting from the floor, 9.0 boards, 7.4 dimes, and 2.4 threes over his past last games, Giddey will also have a great chance to build on his late-season surge as an exciting DFS play against an unimposing Sixers defense.
Oklahoma City Thunder head coach Mark Daigneault says guard Shai Gilgeous-Alexander (quadriceps) didn't participate in the morning shootaround but got treatment and remains questionable for Tuesday's contest against the Philadelphia 76ers. Although it isn't an encouraging sign, it sounds like Gilgeous-Alexander's game status with a right quadriceps contusion could come down to the wire. Tuesday is the first leg of OKC's back-to-back, with the first-place Boston Celtics looming on Wednesday, so the Thunder could opt to sit fantasy's No. 1 overall nine-category league player on one half or the other. Josh Giddey would handle the majority of the ball-handling duties as an ascending fantasy asset if SGA can't play, and he's got the makings of a late-season league winner with averages of 22.8 points on 63.9% shooting from the field, 9.0 rebounds, 7.4 assists, and 2.4 triples through his past five games.
Oklahoma City Thunder forward Jalen Williams (ankle) has been ruled out for Tuesday's game against the Philadelphia 76ers. Williams appeared to be on track to play through a sprained left ankle after he was spotted at the morning shootaround, but he'll miss his first game since March 12 and aim to return on the second night of OKC's back-to-back for a showdown with the first-place Boston Celtics. Veteran Gordon Hayward is the most likely candidate to get the spot start at the four after doing so when Williams was last out in March 12's loss to the Indiana Pacers. Across 25 games as a starter for the Charlotte Hornets this year, Hayward averaged 14.5 points, 4.7 rebounds, 4.6 assists, 1.1 steals, and 0.9 threes and should be considered a solid fantasy streamer in a neutral matchup against the Sixers.
