Los Angeles Lakers center Anthony Davis (Achilles) has been deemed probable for their game against the Milwaukee Bucks on Friday night. The superstar big man has been dealing with this Achilles issue for quite a while but hasn't had to miss a game since February 1. So far this season, he's averaging 24.8 points, 12.3 rebounds, 3.6 assists, 2.4 blocks, and 1.1 steals per game while enjoying his healthiest season since his first year on the Lakers in 2019-20. Whenever he's available, he should be in all fantasy lineups due to the plethora of stats that he puts up each night. Davis should have his work cut out for him going head-to-head with Giannis Antetokounmpo and company.
Los Angeles Lakers forward LeBron James missed the end of Wednesday's matchup against Sacramento due to his lingering left ankle injury. James exited the contest and limped to the locker room with 3:58 left to play in the fourth quarter. The Lakers were tailing 122-108 at the time, which could've played a big part in James' decision to leave. He was playing outstanding basketball before the exit and finished a 130-120 loss with a team-high 31 points, five rebounds, and 13 assists. James, who logged 36 minutes in the contest, admitted postgame that he didn't feel the injury at all before the fourth quarter began while noting he was completely pain-free in Monday's matchup against Oklahoma City. James has been a regular on the injury report but has played in seven consecutive games. However, fantasy managers need to monitor his status very closely, as James' body seemingly told him Wednesday to take some time off to rest. The Lakers return to action on Friday versus Milwaukee.
Los Angeles Lakers forward LeBron James (ankle) is currently listed as questionable ahead of Wednesday's game against the Sacramento Kings. Unsurprisingly, James is on the injury report ahead of this game. It seems like every game both James and Anthony Davis (Achilles) are on the injury report, but both usually suit up anyway. It's not a back-to-back set, which means the chances of James suiting up are fairly high. Otherwise, Taurean Prince would likely be asked to move into the starting five on Wednesday.
Los Angeles Lakers center Anthony Davis (Achilles) is currently listed as probable ahead of Wednesday's game against the Sacramento Kings. The big man is once again probable for a game as this appears to be a regular theme for Davis. The expectation is that Davis will ultimately be cleared, assuming he doesn't suffer a setback pregame. When healthy, Davis has been one of the most productive players on the court this season. Fantasy managers will have to check back for the final update on Wednesday.
The Athletic's Shams Charania reported on Tuesday that Los Angeles Lakers guard Gabe Vincent (knee) "is doing more and more on the court. Barring any setbacks, his hope is still mid-to-late March to get back in the lineup for the Lakers." After undergoing knee surgery in late December, Vincent is finally closing in on a return to the floor. The 27-year-old volume scorer has appeared in only five games this season, contributing 5.4 points on 37.5% shooting from the field, 3.0 assists, and 1.2 steals in 25.4 minutes per contest. Upon Vincent's return, he is expected to share reserve minutes with Spencer Dinwiddie from L.A.'s second unit and doesn't need to be rostered in fantasy leagues at this stage.
