Indiana Pacers center Myles Turner (ankle) is questionable for Wednesday's meeting with the Boston Celtics. The 28-year-old has played well this season, averaging 15.0 points, 6.3 rebounds, and 2.0 blocks. But he's in danger of missing the Pacers' fifth game on the schedule because of a sprained left ankle. If Turner doesn't suit up, Isaiah Jackson, averaging 13.3 points, 7.7 rebounds, and 1.7 blocks in three starts last season, has a place in all fantasy lineups. He'll also be a popular DFS value option.
Indiana Pacers center Isaiah Jackson (groin) is available ahead of Friday's game against the New York Knicks. The big man is set to make his season debut after sitting out the season opener. Normally, Jackson's status isn't noteworthy, but he's now the primary backup center with James Wiseman (Achilles) done for the season. The assumption is that Jackson will absorb some of the playing time that Wiseman was going to get this season. Unfortunately, Jackson probably will still only see minutes in the teens, which makes him tough to trust while Myles Turner is healthy.
Indiana Pacers center James Wiseman (Achilles) was forced to exit early during Wednesday's season opener against the Detroit Pistons. Wiseman exited the contest after only four minutes of action due to what was being considered a calf injury. Now, it's being revealed that Wiseman suffered a ruptured left Achilles tendon in the win. The team hasn't announced it, but Wiseman is expected to miss the rest of the season. The Pacers are also without Isaiah Jackson (groin) right now, so Obi Toppin could see a larger role behind Myles Turner at the center spot. Toppin could be a possible streaming option if Jackson has a lengthy absence.
Indiana Pacers center James Wiseman (calf) won't return during Wednesday's season opener against the Detroit Pistons. Wiseman limped off the court after suffering what looked to be a non-contact injury during the first half of Wednesday's game. This is bad news with Isaiah Jackson (groin) inactive for the season opener. That means, Obi Toppin could see big minutes during the second half of this contest. Wiseman finished with six points and one rebound in four minutes of action. The 23-year-old figures to be the primary backup to Jackson once both players are healthy. Until then, Toppin could be asked to play big minutes for Indiana.
Indiana Pacers center Isaiah Jackson (groin) is listed as questionable ahead of the season opener against the Detroit Pistons on Wednesday. The good news is that the Pacers are considering Jackson as day-to-day with this minor groin issue. Head coach Rick Carlisle doesn't believe this is something that is going to sideline Jackson for long. The absence of Jackson would probably mean James Wiseman serves as the primary backup center to Myles Turner. Wiseman is a former top draft pick, but hasn't lived up to the hype. He might see 15-20 minutes without Jackson, but he hasn't proven to be a trustworthy option throughout his career.
