Philadelphia 76ers guard De'Anthony Melton (back) was unable to suit up for Tuesday's practice, according to head coach Nick Nurse. It seems unlikely that Melton is going to be able to suit up for Wednesday's play-in game against the Miami Heat. His absence won't be a huge loss, but it does impact their rotation. The Sixers will likely have to rely more on Cameron Payne and Buddy Hield with Melton still banged up.

He's appeared in only seven games since the start of 2024, and he combined for only 21 minutes in the previous two contests before sitting out for Sunday's regular-season finale versus the Brooklyn Nets. It appears Melton is still having issues, so there's a good chance he won't be on the floor for Wednesday's Play-In battle with Miami. If that's the case, Cameron Payne would be a viable DFS value option for the limited two-game slate.

Golden State Warriors guard Gary Payton II (calf) won't suit up for Tuesday's Play-In meeting with the Sacramento Kings. The 31-year-old missed the final three contests of the regular season because of a strained calf. With that in mind, Payton only averaged 5.5 points and 2.6 rebounds throughout the 2023-24 campaign, so his absence won't have much of an impact on DFS managers.

However, despite playing in Philly's previous two contests, the 25-year-old has logged just over 20 minutes combined. The Sixers need him healthy for the postseason, so Melton might get the afternoon off. More names may be added to the injury report heading into this contest. But Kyle Lowry and Cameron Payne are currently in line for extra work if Melton isn't on the floor for the regular-season finale.

Golden State Warriors forward Jonathan Kuminga (groin) won't play on Friday versus the Pelicans. With Klay Thompson (knee) not in the lineup for Thursday's win over the Portland Trail Blazers, The 2021 No. 7 overall pick got extra work, logging 34 minutes to finish with 19 points, six rebounds, and one steal. But it's the second of back-to-back contests, so Kuminga is likely getting the night off to rest, considering he's been banged up over the last month. With that said, Kuminga's absence could keep the door open for Brandin Podziemski and Moses Moody to remain more involved than usual.
