Dallas Mavericks center Dereck Lively II (ankle) and guard Dante Exum (foot) have both been ruled out for their Tuesday night game against the Memphis Grizzlies. This is going to be Lively's third consecutive game missed and it's Exum's fourth. They're both still dealing with sprains but Lively's is his ankle while Exum is dealing with a right Plantar sprain. The bigger blow to the team is Lively while the rest of the big men seem to be a revolving door. As they both remain out, Dwight Powell and Josh Green should both receive more opportunities in the starting lineup. Green has the better potential, so fantasy managers can look towards him for streaming options.
Charlotte Hornets forward P.J. Washington (foot) was forced to exit the team's game on Friday with a right foot sprain after playing just six minutes. Now, he's ruled out for their game on Monday against the Chicago Bulls and there isn't an exact timetable for his return. This could end up being a one-game absence to allow him to get a bit more rest, but fantasy managers will have to stay tuned for those updates. Since he and Mark Williams (back) will both be out, Nick Richards, Nathan Mensah, and JT Thor will split time at center while Miles Bridges and Brandon Miller will handle the minutes at power forward and small forward.
Dallas Mavericks guard Luka Doncic (ankle) has been upgraded from questionable to available on Sunday and will take on the Minnesota Timberwolves. The swelling in his right ankle seemed to go down enough for him to move comfortably and get back on the court. His offensive abilities are much-needed against one of the top defensive teams in the league, especially while Dereck Lively II (ankle) and Dante Exum (foot) are both out. This will be the first game that Doncic will play against the Timberwolves since he couldn't suit up against them on December 28. Regardless of the opponent, Doncic should be in all fantasy lineups now that he's playing.
Dallas Mavericks guard Luka Doncic (ankle) is questionable for Sunday's game against the visiting Timberwolves. He didn't suit up on Friday night versus Portland because of right ankle swelling. As a result, Kyrie Irving led the way offensively, finishing with a game-high 24 points, adding nine rebounds, five assists, two steals, and two blocks. Additionally, Tim Hardaway Jr., Jaden Hardy, and Josh Green got more involved on the scoring end, so they will remain streaming options in all fantasy leagues if Doncic misses his second consecutive contest.
Charlotte Hornets forward/center P.J. Washington (ankle) suffered a right ankle injury in Friday's meeting with the Chicago Bulls. He's not expected to return. Another extended absence wouldn't be an ideal scenario for Charlotte, considering the team has been without LaMelo Ball (ankle), Gordon Hayward (calf), and Mark Williams (back). At any rate, if Washington doesn't return, he'll finish with three boards and two assists in six minutes of action. Fantasy managers may not see him in Monday's rematch with Chicago, meaning JT Thor could see more work.
