Dallas Mavericks forward/center Maxi Kleber (knee) is questionable for Monday's tilt with Utah due to left knee soreness. If the big man is unavailable, Dereck Lively and Daniel Gafford would likely see more action than usual. Kleber has played in just 33 contests this season, averaging 20.9 minutes per game while posting 4.4 points, 3.3 rebounds, 1.7 assists and 0.6 blocks. He should not be considered an option for fantasy play on Monday.
Detroit Pistons guard/forward Quentin Grimes (knee) has been ruled out against the Boston Celtics on Friday. Grimes is missing his fifth consecutive game with the right knee contusion limiting him. Detroit acquired the 23-year-old guard from the New York Knicks, but they have barely had a chance to see his potential. Grimes has played just six games for Detroit, with averages of 5.3 points, 2.3 assists, and 2.0 rebounds in 19.2 minutes per game. Evan Fournier and Marcus Sasser have the best chances of extra value as the main reserve guards without Grimes. Malachi Flynn also has an opportunity for more playing time, but he has a lower fantasy ceiling.
Sacramento Kings guard/forward Kessler Edwards will move into the starting five ahead of Thursday's game against the Washington Wizards. Head coach Mike Brown has decided to shake up his lineup and have Edwards start with Keon Ellis heading to the second unit. Edwards has been extremely quiet this season and isn't worth looking at as a streaming option on Thursday. Ellis should still get decent minutes off the bench, but won't have as much streaming appeal as he would've starting.
Detroit Pistons guard/forward Quentin Grimes (knee) will remain sidelined for Wednesday's matchup against Indiana. The 23-year-old has played in only two of the past nine games as he continues to deal with a right knee issue. Grimes' absence has opened the door for Stanley Umude to start logging meaningful minutes. He even linked up with the starters last time out against Boston when Cade Cunningham (knee) and Simone Fontecchio (toe) were absent. Cunningham returns to action on Wednesday, but Fontecchio could remain out, giving Umude extra fantasy value for a very favorable fantasy matchup.
Dallas Mavericks guard Dante Exum (foot) has been upgraded from probable to available and will play against San Antonio on Tuesday. Exum hasn't made much noise in fantasy basketball since running into health issues in the middle of the campaign but is currently in a position to play a bigger role for the team, as Josh Green (ankle) is out of the lineup. Across two prior meetings with the Spurs this season, Exum has averaged 11.5 points, 4.0 rebounds, and 2.0 assists in 20.0 minutes.
