Brooklyn Nets guard/forward Ben Simmons (back) will be available for Thursday's contest against Atlanta. He was rested on Tuesday when the Nets completed a back-to-back in Orlando. Simmons could get back into the starting lineup for Thursday's tilt with Cam Thomas (ankle) on the shelf. The versatile Australian has averaged 6.5 points, 8.0 rebounds, and 5.6 assists in 26.1 minutes in a starting role this season. This will be a great matchup for Simmons and the Nets, as Atlanta is ranked last in defensive efficiency for the season.
Brooklyn Nets guard Cam Thomas (ankle, foot) is officially listed as out ahead of the team's game Thursday against the Hawks. The 22-year-old sustained an ankle injury during Monday's game, compelling him to sit out on Tuesday. The severity of the injury remains uncertain, but Thomas will miss his second consecutive game, with his next opportunity to play being the Saturday rematch against Atlanta. In his absence, Dennis Schroder, Lonnie Walker, and Ben Simmons are expected to see increased minutes or usage. Thomas boasts averages of 20.9 points, 2.9 rebounds, and 2.7 assists per game in 29.8 minutes this season.
According to Brian Lewis of the New York Post, Brooklyn Nets guard Cam Thomas (ankle) underwent an MRI on Tuesday. However, the team is still awaiting the results. The 22-year-old injured his ankle during Monday's decisive win over the Memphis Grizzlies and was ruled out late in the fourth quarter. He won't play on Tuesday against Orlando, although fantasy managers could be without him longer. As a result, Lonnie Walker IV might be involved enough to warrant consideration for managers in deep fantasy setups. There's also a chance Cameron Johnson returns to the starting lineup, with the former logging fewer than 25 minutes in each of his last four games.
Brooklyn Nets guard/forward Ben Simmons (back) will be rested for Tuesday's clash versus Orlando. He managed to shake off a sore left leg on Monday to play 14 minutes against Memphis, but the team will keep him out of action on Tuesday to manage his back injury. Cam Thomas (ankle) has also been ruled out, meaning a busy night at the office is on the horizon for Dennis Schroder, while Dennis Smith Jr., Lonnie Walker IV, and Cameron Johnson could also pick up some of the available minutes.
Brooklyn Nets guard/forward Cam Thomas (ankle) has been ruled out for Tuesday's clash with Orlando. The young scoring machine sprained his right ankle on Monday versus Memphis and will miss his 10th game of the season. With Ben Simmons (back) resting on the second night of a back-to-back, we should get a heavy dosage of Dennis Schroder on the Brooklyn backcourt. Dennis Smith Jr. and Lonnie Walker IV are also in a position to pick up extra shifts.
