Boston Celtics guard/forward Jaylen Brown (hip) has been ruled out of Friday's matchup with the Brooklyn Nets while he continues to deal with a strained hip flexor. The All-NBA wing was considered day-to-day with the hip issue but will miss his fourth straight game. The Celtics have only lost once so far in that span, so Brown's absence hasn't been felt too much. While he's out, Payton Pritchard will continue to see big minutes while Sam Hauser gets more opportunities off of the bench.
According to Boston Celtics head coach Joe Mazzulla, forward Jaylen Brown (hip) is considered "day-to-day." He's dealing with a hip flexor strain and will miss his third consecutive contest when the C's play the Warriors on Wednesday. Without question, Brown has been a top fantasy producer this season, averaging 25.7 points, 7.2 rebounds, and 1.5 steals. Although he's shot a rough 26.7% from behind the arc, category managers hope to get him back on the floor, possibly as early as Friday's matchup with the Brooklyn Nets. In the meantime, Neemias Queta, coming off a 10-point, seven-rebound, one-block outing versus the Hawks on Monday night, has streaming potential.
Boston Celtics forward Jaylen Brown (hip) won't play in Wednesday's game against the Golden State Warriors. The 28-year-old last played on Friday in the win over the Charlotte Hornets. Unfortunately, he's been sidelined since with a hip flexor strain. It doesn't appear as if the injury is serious, so fantasy managers should stay optimistic. Without question, Jayson Tatum, Derrick White, and Jrue Holiday should benefit without Brown in the lineup. However, Neemias Queta, who had 10 points, seven boards, one block, and one steal as a starter in Monday's win over the Hawks, is worth streaming.
Boston Celtics guard Jaylen Brown (hip) is listed as out for Monday night's game against the Atlanta Hawks. Brown has been dealing with a left hip flexor strain that caused him to miss Friday night's game against the Charlotte Hornets. Brown has averaged 25.7 PPG and 7.2 RPG to start the season so a bit of production will be left off the table with his absence. In Saturday night's game against the Charlotte Hornets the Celtics inserted Al Horford into the starting lineup. Expect Horford to get another start on Monday against his former team, who will be on a rest advantage on the second leg of a back-to-back. Horford has averaged 7.7 PPG to start the season and may not be a great fantasy option on Monday night as he didn't score in his spot start on Saturday.
Boston Celtics forward Jaylen Brown (hip) won't play on Saturday against Charlotte. The Celtics and Hornets met on Friday night, the first of back-to-back games between the clubs, with Brown finishing the night by scoring 25 points, adding six rebounds, five assists, one steal, and one block. He's bothered by a hip flexor strain, so fantasy managers will need to wait and see if he'll play on Monday in Atlanta. But without Brown in the mix on Saturday, Sam Hauser (back), who is probable, is expected to enter the starting lineup, giving him a more promising outlook in all fantasy setups.
