Atlanta Hawks forward Onyeka Okongwu (toe) has been added to the injury report ahead of Sunday's game against the New Orleans Pelicans. It's the first game of a back-to-back set, so the Hawks might decide to give Okongwu a rest night on Sunday. He has been quiet since his 28-point outing during the season opener. Since then, Okongwu is averaging 8.5 points, 4.5 rebounds, and 0.3 blocks over his last four games. Larry Nance Jr. and Dominick Barlow figure to see extended playing time if Okongwu is unable to play on Sunday or Monday.
Atlanta Hawks forward De'Andre Hunter (knee) has been ruled out for the fourth consecutive game while he continues to go through injury management on his right knee. The veteran forward had to miss a bulk of the team's games last season due to knee issues as well. While he continues his injury maintenance, rookie Zaccharie Risacher will likely remain in the starting lineup while Garrison Mathews gets some minutes off of the bench. David Roddy has also seen more opportunities with Bogdan Bogdanovic (hamstring) and Dyson Daniels (hip) out as well.
Atlanta Hawks guard Dyson Daniels (hip) won't play in Friday's game versus the Kings. The former Pelican has played well in his first four games with the Hawks, averaging 12.8 points, 4.3 rebounds, 2.8 steals, and 1.0 blocks. However, he's now dealing with a hip flexor strain, so he'll miss his second consecutive contest of the 2024-25 campaign. With De'Andre Hunter (knee) also out for this one, David Roddy and Zaccharie Risacher could continue to benefit, with the duo combining for 34 points in Wednesday's loss to the Washington Wizards. Garrison Mathews could also see some extra minutes, although he's not a dependable fantasy option.
Atlanta Hawks forward De'Andre Hunter (knee) has been ruled out ahead of Wednesday's game against the Washington Wizards. This is looking more like a rest game as the team is calling it right knee injury management. Hunter missed time last season due to knee issues and it appears to have lingered over into this season. The absence of Hunter should mean more minutes for Zaccharie Risacher, but he's not a great streaming option right now.
Atlanta Hawks forward De'Andre Hunter (knee) is considered questionable for Wednesday's matchup against Washington. He has already missed two games with right knee inflammation. Hunter averaged 18.0 points, 6.5 rebounds, and 2.0 assists in 29.5 minutes before dropping out of the lineup. His absence has allowed Zaccharie Risacher to make his first career starts. The top pick of this year's draft has struggled in his first appearances in the Association. Risacher shot only 1-for-8 from the field and had four points when Atlanta lost to Washington 121-119 on Monday.
