Noah Brown Could Continue To Stake A Claim In No. 2 Role

Washington Commanders wide receiver Noah Brown logged a season-high 32 snaps in Week 3 and has quickly ascended the Washington depth chart. Brown signed with Washington late in August and did not suit up for the season opener. In Week 2, Brown caught three passes for an impressive 56 yards on just 20 snaps. He followed that up with an increase in his snap count to 32 (second-most at the position) as he caught another three passes, this time for just 29 yards. Fantasy managers should continue to view Brown as a stash candidate in deeper formats as he has flashed big-play ability throughout his NFL career. This weekend, he has a favorable matchup and could be considered as a flex option in DFS contests, given his affordable price.

Terry McLaurin Looks To Build Off Breakout Performance

Washington Commanders wide receiver Terry McLaurin broke out of a two-game slump last weekend on Monday evening and should be viewed as a WR2 with upside this weekend as he faces the Arizona Cardinals. Through the first two weeks, McLaurin caught eight passes for 39 yards but flipped the script last weekend as he hit the century mark on four catches with the eventual game-winning score. Even though he was not as productive over the first two weeks, he still saw 23.7% of the team's air yards, his best mark since the 2021 campaign. Given that Jayden Daniels is continuing to develop as a passer, fantasy managers should expect McLaurin's production to only improve as the season progresses. Facing a Cardinals defense that has allowed the 14th most points to opposing wideouts, McLaurin possesses a safe floor and a high ceiling, especially if this game opens up as the current 50-point total suggests.

Brian Robinson Jr. Set For Increased Role In Week 4

Washington Commanders running back Brian Robinson Jr. will have an excellent opportunity to bounce back from his worst outing of the season this weekend as he stands as the lone running back on the Washington depth chart. Austin Ekeler (concussion) was ruled out earlier this week, and this should open the door for Robinson to see the vast majority of running back snaps this weekend. Robinson has seen a slight majority of attempts over Ekeler on the ground but has typically ceded passing duties to the former Charger. On Sunday, fantasy managers should feel comfortable starting the Alabama product in all formats this weekend, as he should have a stable three-down role. Even though he ran for just 33 yards last week, Robinson tallied 133 yards the week prior and should be viewed as a high-end RB2 against an Arizona defense that has allowed the 24th-most points to opposing running backs.

Austin Ekeler Ruled Out For Week 4

Washington Commanders running back Austin Ekeler (concussion) was ruled out for this weekend's matchup against the Arizona Cardinals, according to JP Finlay of 1067 The Fan. Ekeler suffered a concussion in their Week 3 victory over the Cincinnati Bengals on Monday. The 29-year-old will now prepare to return to action in Week 5 when the Commanders host the Cleveland Browns. Before the injury on Monday, Ekeler scored his first touchdown of the campaign and tallied 35 yards on the ground. Fantasy managers should expect Brian Robinson Jr. to see an increased role this weekend, and he should be viewed as a high-end RB2 in what should be a three-down role.

Austin Ekeler In Concussion Protocol

Washington Commanders running back Austin Ekeler (concussion) is in the concussion protocol. Ekeler is also being treated for a laceration on his ear. Ekeler was having a productive night before his injury. He recorded three carries for 35 yards and a touchdown, and two receptions for 22 yards. Ekeler also returned a kick 62 yards to set up the Commanders in excellent field position which ultimately led to a touchdown. The news is a bummer for fantasy managers who were getting surprisingly good production out of Ekeler in all three games this season. He may not be the same player that he was with the Chargers, but he has had flex value. If Ekeler cannot play in Week 4, then Brian Robinson Jr. figures to see a boost in an already solid workload. The only other running back on the Commanders' active roster is Jeremy McNichols so it remains to be seen if they will bring anyone else in.
