Jordan Mason Serves As No. 2 Back In Season Finale

San Francisco 49ers running back Jordan Mason had the opportunity for a big workload in a Week 18 regular season finale against the Los Angeles Rams on Sunday in a game in which the Niners were resting plenty of players with a first-round bye in the playoffs already locked up. However, Elijah Mitchell led the team with 14 carries for 52 yards and a touchdown, while Mason had only six rushing attempts and gained 36 yards on the ground. He added one catch for a 12-yard pickup. Mason wraps up his second regular season in the NFL with 40 rushing attempts for 206 yards and three touchdowns in 17 games, adding three receptions for 31 yards. The 24-year-old mostly played special teams in 2023 while serving as the No. 3 behind Christian McCaffrey and Mitchell, which will likely continue when the team resumes play in the Divisional Round in two weeks.

Chris Conley Leads 49ers In Receiving In Week 18

San Francisco 49ers wide receiver Chris Conley got his only action of the season in the team's 21-20 home loss to the Los Angeles Rams on Sunday. With starters Brandon Aiyuk and Deebo Samuel resting for the majority of the game, the 31-year-old journeyman took advantage of his opportunity to the tune of three receptions on six targets for 69 yards. Both the target and yardage total paced the 49ers while tying for the team lead in receptions. While it was a nice showcase, it would be a surprise if Conley were to become fantasy-relevant in the future.

Ronnie Bell Hauls In Week 18 Touchdown

San Francisco 49ers rookie wide receiver Ronnie Bell caught his third touchdown of the season in the team's 21-20 home loss to the Los Angeles Rams. The five-yard score was his only catch of the day on five targets. The seventh-round pick finishes 2023 with six receptions for 68 yards and three touchdowns. Bell has flashed some skill this season and the 49ers appear to have found a bargain considering Bell's draft slot, but he's unlikely to become fantasy-relevant as long as Brandon Aiyuk and Deebo Samuel are still around.

Deebo Samuel Gains 32 All-Purpose Yards Against Rams

San Francisco 49ers wide receiver Deebo Samuel was rested for roughly half of Sunday's 21-20 home loss to the Los Angeles Rams. The 49ers had little to play for having already locked up the No. 1 seed in the NFC playoffs and chose to protect the playmaker from injury for a large chunk of the game. Samuel didn't see a touch or target after the first quarter, finishing with two catches on as many targets for 15 yards and one carry for 11 yards. Samuel will finish the 2023 campaign at or near the overall WR10 slot in half-PPR scoring despite missing three games due to injury.

Brandon Aiyuk Posts Three Receptions In Loss

San Francisco 49ers wide receiver Brandon Aiyuk played a partial game in the team's 21-20 home loss to the Los Angeles Rams on Sunday. With San Francisco already locked into the No. 1 seed in the NFC playoffs, Aiyuk saw his last action of the game in the second quarter. Before he was pulled, Aiyuk secured three of four targets for 25 yards receiving. He finishes the best fantasy year of his career with 75 receptions for 1,342 yards and seven touchdowns. He'll likely be taken as a high-end WR2 in drafts this fall.
