San Francisco 49ers tight end George Kittle (foot) is officially active for Sunday's game against the Dallas Cowboys. The veteran has been battling a foot injury, keeping him off the practice field on Wednesday before returning for limited sessions on Thursday and Friday. Kittle has been a top fantasy tight end this season, amassing 34 catches (42 targets) for 375 yards and five touchdowns. While Kittle is always a must-start for fantasy managers, his potential for more involvement is higher due to the absences of Brandon Aiyuk (knee), Jauan Jennings (hip), and Christian McCaffrey (Achilles).
San Francisco 49ers tight end George Kittle (foot) is expected to play against the Dallas Cowboys in Week 8 despite being listed as questionable, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter. Kittle has remained dominant through six games this year, racking up 34 catches for 375 yards and five touchdowns. So far, he remains second among tight ends in fantasy points. Fantasy managers should continue to deploy him as a high-end TE1 in all leagues.
San Francisco 49ers wide receiver Deebo Samuel Sr. (illness, wrist) is expected to play in Sunday night's game against the Dallas Cowboys. The wideout has been battling a wrist issue for a few weeks. He also was dealing with a case of Pneumonia, forcing his premature exit from the Week 7 loss to the Kansas City Chiefs. Fortunately, Samuel started to feel better over the last few days, so barring a setback, he should be good to go. The 49ers are hurting on the offensive side of the ball, with Brandon Aiyuk (knee) done for the year and Jauan Jennings (hip) missing another contest. There's also a chance George Kittle (foot) isn't available. As such, expectations are high for Samuel in Week 8, even if he still has some residual symptoms related to the illness.
San Francisco 49ers kicker Jake Moody (right ankle) has been ruled out for Sunday's game against the Dallas Cowboys. This hardly comes as a surprise given that Moody missed all three practices this week and hasn't played since initially suffering the injury in Week 5. Injuries to Moody and Matthew Wright have led the 49ers to bring in Anders Carlson, who went 2-for-2 on field goals but missed his lone extra-point attempt last weekend against the Kansas City Chiefs. Carlson is a fringe top-14 option at the kicker position in fantasy football this week.
San Francisco 49ers running back Jordan Mason (shoulder) practiced in a full capacity on Friday. He has been removed from the final injury report and will play against the Dallas Cowboys in Week 8. Although Mason hasn't missed a game yet this season, the shoulder injury has hindered him ever since Week 6 against the Seattle Seahawks. His production has taken a bit of a step back over the last few games, and he hasn't scored a touchdown since Week 4. With that said, he's in a great position to bounce back this week against a Cowboys defense allowing the seventh-most fantasy points and third-most rushing touchdowns to opposing running backs in 2024.
