New England Patriots running back Rhamondre Stevenson had an impressive showing last Sunday, but he'll get a tougher matchup in the form of the Tennessee Titans during Week 9. The 2024 season has been a mixed bag of results for Stevenson, who is ultimately averaging 60.3 rushing yards, 8.7 receiving yards, and 0.7 touchdowns per game. His reduced work as a pass-catcher is particularly perplexing given how effective he's been as a receiver and blocker in past years. Nevertheless, Stevenson has showcased efficiency and a nose for the end zone this year, allowing him to rank as the overall RB24 so far this season. He'll likely fall a few spots against a Titans defense allowing the sixth-fewest rushing yards to opposing running backs, but he's still worth starting in most leagues.
New England Patriots running back Rhamondre Stevenson rushed for 48 yards and two touchdowns on 20 carries during Sunday's Week 8 win over the New York Jets. He also caught all three of his targets for an additional 17 receiving yards. Although Stevenson was inefficient on the ground, he made up for it by finding the end zone twice and also converting a two-point conversion. The 26-year-old has now scored at least 17 fantasy points (PPR) in four of his seven games this year, vaulting him back into the high-end RB3 tier for Week 8 against a Tennessee Titans defense that was just gashed by Jahmyr Gibbs and David Montgomery.
New England Patriots running back Rhamondre Stevenson (foot) is back on the practice field on Thursday after missing Wednesday's session. The team listed him with a foot/not-injury-related designation on Wednesday, so he was likely held out as a precaution. Stevenson missed the Week 6 outing against the Houston Texans before returning to play against the Jacksonville Jaguars in Week 7. Based on what we know so far, he is trending toward playing in Week 8 in a matchup with the New York Jets. The Jets have allowed the 10th-fewest fantasy points per game to running backs, and Stevenson has been a boom-or-bust option this season. That said, consider him an RB3 option with a low floor this Sunday if he's active. UPDATE: Stevenson practiced in full on Thursday.
New England Patriots running back Rhamondre Stevenson rushed for 18 yards on seven carries during Sunday's Week 7 loss to the Jacksonville Jaguars. He also caught two of three targets for an additional seven yards through the air. New England seemed to abandon its rushing attack early on Sunday, allowing Drake Maye to throw 37 times. As a result, Stevenson was not much of a factor as he struggled to get going on the ground and didn't carve out much of a role in the passing game. It's possible this trend continues against an up-and-coming Jets team next week, leaving Stevenson in the RB3 tier for fantasy purposes.
New England Patriots running back Rhamondre Stevenson (foot) is officially active for Sunday's game against the Jacksonville Jaguars in London. He had been listed as questionable but was trending in the right direction entering the weekend. In the end, the 26-year-old missed just one game due to the injury. His return this week bumps Antonio Gibson out of the starting role. Stevenson, who is averaging 78 scrimmage yards and 0.6 touchdowns per game this season, ranks as a low-end fantasy RB2 in his return. He gets help from a favorable matchup against the Jaguars, who have allowed the second-most receptions and seventh-most fantasy points to opposing running backs so far this season.
