The Los Angeles Chargers have "major plans" for wide receiver Quentin Johnston this season, and offensive coordinator Greg Roman intends to manufacture opportunities for the second-year player, according to Dan Graziano and Jeremy Fowler of ESPN.com. Specifically, the Chargers want to give him more opportunities to produce after the catch, which is an area where he's excelled in the past. Los Angeles really liked what it saw in Johnston coming out of TCU and is ready to help him elevate his game despite a frustrating rookie campaign in which he caught just 56.7 percent of his targets and also logged three drops. Given that Johnston could start alongside Josh Palmer in the Los Angeles offense, he's an intriguing investment at his current Yahoo ADP of 182.

Johnston is certainly going to have more opportunities to produce for the Chargers and fantasy managers, but the 22-year-old is going to need to gain more separation and clear up his issues with drops.

"And so, you know, going into this next season, I can't wait. Like I said, I feel like I'm due for a breakout, so I'm very excited for that." Johnston has time to turn things around and will be worth a late-round fantasy flier now that Harbaugh is in LA.

Johnston, who was drafted in the first round, ended up making just 38 catches for 431 yards and two touchdowns all year. In Week 18, he turned five targets into two catches for 17 yards. He'll be back for the 2024 season with a whole new coach and (likely) offensive coordinator, so it will be interesting to see if they will be able to turn around one of the biggest busts of the 2023 draft.
